Fox's Dragonball Evolution will be making it's way to Blu-ray on July 28 in the form of Dragonball Evolution in a "Z Edition".

Dragonball Evolution stars Justin Chatwin, Chow Yun-Fat and James Marsters in the story about a humanoid alien who must recover 7 mystical Dragonballs with the help of a "Great Master" before an evil lord gets to them first.

The Blu-ray edition of Dragonball Evolution will be presented in 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Bonus features include:

Goku's Quest scavenger hunt game (BD exclusive)
Eight Deleted Scenes
Goku's Workout: Stunt Work featurette
Fox Movie Channel Presents: Making a Scene
Fox Movie channel Presents Life After Film School with Justin Chatwin
Dragonball Gag Reel
Brian Anthony "Worked Up" Music Video

I am very torn on this. I already know I am going to buy it.

The only good thing about this dvd is the 1080p and the game, but the game is probably horrible. I will admit that even though everything in this movie is a tacky, far off imagining of the original Dragonball, the CG effects were pretty cool and I bet they will look amazing at 1080p.

As for the rest of the features, all I have to say is this:

I am ashamed of Fox.

I thought that they would have added a whole bunch more features. They know that the only way for them to even save the sales of this dvd was to pump up the Special Features, but it looks like they failed horribly at that.

Even though it makes me want to throw up. I will be buying the Blu-Ray copy of this movie.

Damn it, I'll get someone else to buy it for me as a gag-gift. Maybe it'll be better when intoxicated...

Yes, tha game is horrible, you have a betta chance of havin fun while cleanin' plant roots than playin tha game

Can't wait for this to come out. Pretty standard action adventure flick. If Dragon Ball the manga is Shakespear's Romeo and Juliet, then Dragonball Evolution is Romeo Must Die.

I did enjoy the movie but after waiting about seven years for the it, I have to say I was a little disappointed. It just wasnt what I wanted from a Dragonball movie. It was nowhere near epic enough. I was happy with the actors. I actually think Justin makes a perfect Goku and James a perfect Piccolo. I dont blame them. It deserved so much more respect from FOX in my opinion and if there is going to be another Dragonball movie, I hope Paramount make it.

Just look at that cover, its an embarrassment.
