This is pretty much spam. There have been threads about this already. At least say what benefit could SI gain from doing these things. You guys don't exactly give Saiyan a reason as to why he should do this and that etc.

Honestly, what is the point about complaining about the censors. "O noes you can't say **** without four stars getting in the way", are you guys allergic to digital stars our something? Apparently Saiyan doesn't like vulgar language especially on a forum about anime so if he doesn't want it here, without it being censored, then deal with it.

Be happy we are still allowed to say certain words which are considered bad just not that bad. Hell, us complaining about the censors is probably reminding him that he needs to get off his lazy bum and add all the other "fun" words to his list of, "words to be replaced by evil stars!"

I agree. There already is more than one thread about removing the censors and EX points. He also has not given any real evidence as to how this will benefit SI.

The reason we have EX points is to actually improve SI. Although the system updates rather slowly, at least it brought us activity here, and at least members are being rewarded for their activity. People wanted bigger avis, more PM space, customizable profiles, ect. The EX points GIVES them all of those things, while rewarding users for contributing to the site in one way or another.

Removing the EX points means taking away rewards for being active, and contributive to the forum and image gallery. Everything would be the same as it is now, except you wouldn't get rewards. With nothing to strive for per se, activity may decrease.

As for the censors, grow up. They're there for the younger members. As older folk, we must be mature about this, for their sake. It wont kill you to look at **** instead of the F word. If you want to look at it so badly, use alts, or bleep out one of the letters. People get what you are trying to mean anyway, because of the censored word. We all know f*ck is the F word, b*tch is the B word, ect.

That's precisely why censoring "fun" words doesn't make much sense.
The purpose of censorship is to intercept a message.
The message isn't being intercepted if they still get the f*cking message.
It's annoying, makes me have to spell the stupid "fun" words incorrectly, and feels wholly retarded.

It will benefit SI because it makes more f*cking sense to remove them, then to keep them.
What does it do if it's kept?

The message of the image is intercepted, the satisfaction of seeing the curvy pillows with nipples is blocked. If you censor ****, I can still just put f*ck, but either way, I'm going to get the message.
