Well there's no 100% confirmation on whether it will stay gone, but my bet is that they didn't want to do anymore filler seasons and will just wait until the end of the last arc to do one final one.

It might be over for now but it'll most likely be back once the manga finishes up...

we're gonna have that Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth anime for now. Though I believe that will only be a couple of episodes so that the Bleach manga has build up enough chapters. This way, they should be possible to do the final arc of Bleach in one go, instead of needing to add fillers somewhere in between because of the anime moving at a faster speed.

There is no statement, that the final arc will not be animated.

The series just stoppes airing after fullbring, thats all we know. If they would continue right now with the show, there would be probably about 50+ filler eps. Instead of putting in stupid fillers, a break seams a valid decision to me.

At least there is hope

A nice naruto style spin-off is better "filler" material IMO, it's something new and entertaining. and quiet funny
