It would be more accurate to say that Tsunade is the last survivor of the Senju clan, not Yamato, even though he has Wood Release. Also, Tsunade is an Uzumaki, since her grandmother was Uzumaki Mito.

Haku was also the last known survivor of his clan capable of using Ice Release.

Anyway, I agree it would be cool if Naruto met some other Uzumaki survivors (besides Nagato and Tsunade), especially if he learned some of his clan's secret fuuinjutsu style from them. I always wished Jiraiya had taught Naruto some fuuinjutsu during the time skip, since fuuinjutsu was what the Uzumaki clan was most famous for. Oh well.

Kishi probably did that cause it doesn't have any real relevance to the plot. He never , so why now?

its odd really.. naruto has gone to a lot of places and he never heard or seen an uzamaki besides nagato, and his dead parents.. isin't tsunade part uzamaki?
The 1st married the 9tails 1st jinchuuriki which was an uzamaki which had grandchildren who 2 we know of is tsunade and her dead brother.
