Do you think there should be a Storm game on the PSP?

I was thinking about the Naruto games for the psp, and I thought it would be kinda cool if they made an Ultimate Ninja Storm game (or games) for the psp. Instead of the 2-D fighting style used in Ultimate Ninja, the Storm 3-D style gameplay would be awesome. There are several reasons I think it should be done. Here are a few:

1.) Storm only had 25 playable characters, and was still a great game. 25 characters aren't too much, and that amount (or a little higher) can definately be done on the psp.

2.) There hasn't been any Shippuuden psp games ever. Not in America, and not in Japan either. Perhaps a Shippuuden Storm psp game can be released in both countries simultaneously?

3.) Free roam storymode. This feature has not been in any previous psp Naruto games.

4.) Storm didn't have online play, but perhaps a psp version could? If not wifi, the basic gameshare feature would still be great!

5.) If there ever was a sequel to the PS3 version of Storm, and if they ever made one for the psp at or around the same time, they can have a link type feature that would allow you to get extra content on both games.

6.) They can slightly expand on the special attacks. Instead of a short cutscene, they can have both players push buttons really fast or in a certain order or something.


Of course there are a few downsides of having a Storm game on the psp.
The graphics wont look nearly as realistic, there probably wouldnt be any downloadable content, alot of stuff would be taken out because the psp can only do so much, and most importantly, the psp lacks a few buttons. Other than those flaws, a Storm Shippuuden game should be made in my opinion.

Well, the previous psp games kinda had long loading times anyway, but at least you got to look at a clip of a character doing some random activity or something on the side of the screen while it loaded. :laugh:

The psp is capable of making a Storm game...
It would just have to be limited for certain things...

I think the awesome gameplay would make up for the long loading time tho...

As far as the DS goes, the psp is more technological capable...
It wont lag, but it probably will take a while to load...

The PSP just isn't a very good games system.

They dropped the ball on the button layout, the lack of twin analog on PS2-esque games like the PSP has is incredibly awkward.

If they were going to invest the time in a new Storm game, they should dedicate the effort on improving the current engine, and then making a Shippuuden PS3 one, or better still a Manga PS3 game.

and fo tha some of y'all that think that tha psp aint capable of handelin' it, you might wanna bounce you' head again cause tha psp is perfectly capable of handlin' it. Let meh break it down fo y'all..

Firstly tha 3-D type fightin' style has already appeared on tha psp, Final Fantasy: Dissidia's fightin style is 3-D,like Naruto UN Storms is. (I played it, so thats how i know.)
Ohh and regardin' tha graphics, they could achieve through some hard work graphics that could pass tha ps2's graphics, like they did with God of War: Chains of Olympus. If tha game would have graphics like God of War had I wouldn't complain. And I think none of tha PSP owners would complain.

That amount of 25 playable characters is technically easy fo tha psp to handle. Tha only problem here would occur at tha size of tha game, but i think that it aint gon be that much ov'a sh*t if tha game is bigga' than usual games... ( and with a series so popula' and a handheld game console that surprised its owners in many many ways with what it can handle and do, i think that it would be worth tha while to take a lil bit of time and work on game to improve it, make it betta than otha psp games and to maybe take tha psp into tha next level )

That is very possible, beside tha fact that i believe Japan and America gon neva work at a naruto game togetha, there is a high possibility that Japan would create tha game, pass it to tha US to be translated and maybe added some otha things and boom, have tha same release date. It would be god damn fine to see a "Naruto Shippuuden Narutimate Portable" game.

A free roam story mode would be hard to incorporate in tha psp game with all tha otha mentioned features because of a major downside at tha size of tha game. Regarding tha size of tha game, tha free roam story mode would require a good amount of space so that its gameplay could satisfy tha players. But as I said before, it would be worth tha while to do it.

Personally i would leave only tha gameshare feature so that different people could fight one anotha'. Online play, i think, would be only a waste of space. If this online playin feature would be incorporated it tha game, i think' outta tha amount of people that will own and play it, only 9-10% will use both tha gameshare and online play feature and tha majority will use only tha gameshare feature.

Well, here I'll have to disagree. It would be very fine to have downloadable content fo tha game, but here is tha point where it crosses tha PSP's handle line. Tha PSP is good but not that good..

This is highly possible. They could extend tha duration of tha cut-scenes and incorporate some kinda action you must do while tha attack is in progress, this aint that hard but, this also comes with a catch; This will also require a good amount of space fo it to be nearly satisfying. I have certain idea bout what they could do to get some space. Personally I would cut off tha "Heroes Mode" feature and make room fo this feature that you mentioned. In my opinion, tha "Heroes Mode" feature is a waste of space.

Anyway, yeah I could see this happening, but it would have to be extremely limited. The psp's battery would die faster then you could charge it, with the intense graphics and fast past game play. I would hate to be out playing this game, and only have a 1-2 hours of play time. The story mode part would be impossible, a lot would have get cut out in order to fit, and that almost makes it not even worth putting it into the game.

If they made one with all the fighting elements, graphics, but reduced story that has a little free roam, I would be happy.
