and the reason is because they had been dead for a long time

I believe its a time limit on who u could wish back to life.....

Well since the dbz movies have nothing to do with the manga or manga time line he was not brought back.

Obviously Goku wouldn't revive a race so cruel to the universe.

yeah that could be true but goku vegeta and the others just could've showed their super saiyan power at it highest (for goku ssj4) and could force them to become good like vegeta did.

Because,the Movie isn't the same as the Anime/Manga.And,Goku and Vegeta doesn't even know him,except for Raditz which is dead and is evil (which he goes to H.F.I.L).That's why,he can't be revived because everybody doesn't know him.

I've wondered what that would be like. Despite trying to save his race from Freeza he was still pretty much another evil Saiyan. I wonder if Goku would have to fight him or if he'd go "good" once he found out even Vegeta had turned over a new leaf.

that would be interesting seeing bardock fighting for earth against the likes of buu or even cell without his son's and king's super saiyan abilities

Bardock and the Saiyans couldn't be wished back because Shenron can only bring back those who had died within a one year time period. It was about 20 years when they made that wish to bring back all Frieza had killed.
Though DBZ do have a lot of plotholes.

i used to ask myself the same thing but then i realized
goku didnt care about his saiyan heritage
vegeta didnt care about the rest of the saiyans because he feared that theyll get in the way and become stronger than him
so basically vegeta wanted to be the strongest saiyan in the universe

well thats because most of the saiyans were somewhat evil in a way that all they did was conquer planets, that and they all still had their tails which would cause lots of problems when they all transformed into great apes.:rolleyes:also vegeta still isn't good he wants to be the one to defeat goku not no one else, which is why he sides with goku

Well that's his excuse. ;)

Though at the end of the series he conceded that Goku was the better and he didn't go back to being evil or anything. Plus he was a family man by then too. So I'd say he changed.

well remember that goku does not know his father a bit and after seeing saiyans such as raditz and nappa he said that he never wanted to be or meet anyone like that again.vegeta however knew goku's father but really would have no business in a lower level soldiers life as for his father vegeta's dad hated him so i doubt he would want to revive him.
