Vegeta should be stronger than goku?

What i mean is that he was strong in the saiyan saga and then in the frieza saga goku just super passed him. then he got strong in the android saga, and then at the cell saga he got stronger but goku still surpassed him. i could go on but what im saying is do you think Vegeta should be stronger than Goku or be the strongest in the Dbz universe? and i thought that since goku grew a tail on gt vegeta should've grown 1 and be able 2 turn ss4 by himself.

Goku will always be a small step stronger than Vegeta, but They are practically on equal footing. If you remember Vegeta beat Goku in the Buu saga, even though Goku didn't go ssj3. Also Goku highly respects him, and feels that Vegeta is just as strong as him.

Well Goku ended up being the legendary super saiyan so it makes sense he would be stronger than Vegeta. Goku is also the smartest fighter which gives him an edge that power alone cannot compensate for. He also seems to be smarter at training himself than Vegeta too.

Let's say Vegeta is stuck up and aims to be the strongest on selfish terms. While Goku just fights to see if he's the best and to surpass his limits without selfish desires, and he became the best because of that.

i don't know why everyone keeps saying that goku's smarter then vegeta have you even watched the show vegeta is always coming up with the plans and strategy's to beat the strong enemies goku's the one who's like i can beat them and just gets in an all out fight with them not even thinking just trying to use brute force to overcome everyone goku would have never thought of using the spirit bomb on kid buu if vegeta wasn't their. and as for mecha commando saying that hes smarter at training him self no he isn't he just "happens to meet all these people that just teach he shit and thats it when do you ever really see him training besides the hyperbolic time chamber and on the way to nameik yea gokus stronger then vegeta but what keeps them equal is that vegeta has superior mind and fighting skills

But like other people have said, Goku believes that Vegeta and him are pretty much equal. And since the characters in DBZ are the only ones who actually know how strong they are, not including Akira Toriyama, we have to believe them.

I don't know if they changed the dialogue in the USA version but during the Buu saga (When Goku was fighting Kid Buu) Vegeta finally admitted that Goku was a fighting genius and that he would never be as good. Plus look at the Cell saga. They all trained super hard to fight Cell but once Vegeta saw Goku fight Cell he realized he had no chance because Goku managed to get so much stronger in the same period of time. That shows Goku's skill in training, not to mention he had to spend time training Gohan on top of his own. If Vegeta was smarter at training he would have swallowed his own pride much earlier in the series and, like Goku, learned from others to get better but he was always too stubborn and close minded so he was always behind Goku because of it.

He was in the movies but the movies are alternate realities so in the comic and tv show it's Goku.

i thought the same way vegeta should be sronger but i realized that he was a saiyan who was evil and that if he became the strongest he would surely destroy the universe but my point is that Goku was the main person vegeta tried twice to take over the world he could be stronger than goku but it wuold not make a difference because Goku always finds a way to beat an enemy think about it.

i dont agree with everythin u said but 1 thing stands out in particular. u are so right when it comes to vegeta's pride. he thinks because of his heritage and royalty that he deserves to be the strongest and therfore has to be the strongest. this hurts his training because he trained only to be stronger than goku and not to protect those he loves. and by now we should know that u train and fight even harder when ur fighting for a cause or to protect those u love. vegeta's pride has been the 1 thing preventing him from achieving the highest title.

thats not it. in a episode he says he taught goku was stronger because he trains to protect but when he got something to protect he didn't grow any stronger.
