Naruto still needs to win a rematch against Sasuke, and Madara's goal can't possibly be as simple as "take over the world", he needs to do something with all demons combined that he's hiding right now. On top of that, every other storyline so far (and in most other anime shows) has been about how Naruto (or whoever the main character is) is a selfish, stubborn brat who always manages to get things the way he wants them in the end because he's "right". So when Naruto says he'll save Konoha without killing Sasuke, that's what he'll do.

It's just a theory, but this is what I think will happen:-

-Naruto will be captured and Kyuubi will be extracted, either because Sasuke just let Akatsuki do it, or because Sasuke went and captured him despite what Madara said, either works. Naruto will survive though (either revived like Gaara, but with a different technique, or that Yondaime's seal allows Naruto to live when Kyuubi is extracted).
-Madara will do whatever he wanted to do with them, but will be stopped by Naruto before he starts destroying places (probably with Sasuke helping).
-Sasuke will challenge Naruto again and the fight will go in one of three ways
--Sasuke will want to do something stupid to kill them both to signify how they're "eternal rivals" and can't beat each other, but Naruto will stop him.
--Naruto will sacrifice himself to prove his point to Sasuke (a la "Hero" if you've seen it, would be in other films too, but that's where I saw this scenario first), and Sasuke will become a good guy again and become Hokage in Naruto's stead.
--Naruto will gain whatever power Madara got and be so awesome and overpowered he just beats Sasuke senseless and sets the world right (okay, this one is really unlikely, but I love it when anti-climactic stuff like that happens).

Again, sorry for the long post. Just felt like sharing. :)

Hopefully with Sasuke's new mangekyou sharingan, he can see what he is doing is not right. But we know that's not going to happen. So Naruto is going to give one of his many inspirational and life changing speeches, and perhaps even another epic battle for the storyline, and Sasuke will change then. They are going to defeat Akatsuki and Madara's plans for revenge against Konoha. I have no clue what will happen after that though...

hmm...I don't think that Sasuke will go after Naruto: he'll probably just let him die at the hands of Akatsuki and Madara Uchiha. After all, Sasuke is much too strong (with his new Mengekyou, which I called Fused Mengekyou Sharingan, Chidori/Lightning manipulating powers and what not), and doesn't want to waste his time on Naruto.
I also think that he wants to go after the village elders (as he told Tobi), because now he knows that they've been keeping too many secrets from him, and that they were the sole reason why he hated his brother (Itachi) so much, thanks to the fact that they sent him on a mission to kill his whole clan.

Well I'll give you what I think on each of the choices...

"Sasuke will let Akatsuki kill Naruto because he doesn't care about him."

This seems the most probable since if I remember correctly when Naruto and Sasuke saw eachother at orochimarus hideout Sasuke was just about ready to kill Naruto in a flash without thinking about it.

"Sasuke will only let Akatsuki kill Naruto if Akatsuki somehow compensates him."

Now this one doesn't really make sense. I don't see why Sasuke would want anything in return from Akatsuki for killing Naruto.

"Sasuke will stop Akatsuki and protect Naruto"

Now the possibility of Sasuke having the actual strength alone to fight Akatsuki and win is slim he had a lot of difficulty fighting Itachi and he was letting Sasuke win.

"Sasuke will team up with Naruto after he has convinced him it's the right thing to do."

Yeah last time Naruto tried to convince Sasuke to do the right thing he got a load of Chidori in his face and Sasuke got away

"Akatsuki will kill or trap Sasuke before if can make a decision on his own."

Why would they want to do that when they agreed to team up with him?

Now heres my theory...

Sasuke will agree and head out to catch the 8-tail. Sasuke will successfully catch it and take it back to the akatsuki lair for them to extract it. Madara and his team have not arrived in Konoha by this time so Sasuke heads after them to help at Konoha. Madara arrives and challenges Tsunade to a fight while the rest of his team head for Naruto. Tsunade is killed. All jounin and chunin head for Naruto to protect him. Many of them are killed. Kakashi and Madara then engage in a Sharingan battle. Mangekyou vs Mangekyou.
Kakashi is overpowered and dies. Gai battles with the shark guy(can't remember his name) and releases the 7th gate and kills sharky. Naruto unable to resist the urge to fight storms out and faces the akatsuki mainly Madara. Madara weakened by the battles with Kakashi and Tsunade is luckily defeated by Naruto with some help from his friends. Sasuke is coming towards Konoha and arrives only hours later to see the akasuki defeated. Sasuke heads for The hokages tower only to discover shes been killed. Then heads to find Naruto(odd of course but you know he just magically gets the urge to see naruto) They battle Naruto overwhelmed by Sasuke begins to unleash his Nine tails. Sasuke quickly moves in to end that. When Sakura jumps in and makes Sasuke loose his focus ending his cancel. She buys Naruto enough time to release 3 of his tails and then engages in battle with Sasuke.

I don't think Sasuke will kill Naruto, but I don't think Akatsuki will either, Naruto will probably live since he's the main character and Sasuke will probably live too. But I think Sasuke will try to kill Naruto again, but the fight will probably be a draw this time.:confused:

thats quite good. but sasuke likes to test his limits and would want to see what the big deal is with these tailed beast and see what they can do.

First of all, it's not Madara who's going to go after Naruto but Pein (or however his name is written). That was decided by Madara himself after the battle between Pein and Jiraiya.

The question is who Pein really is and what message Jiraiya left on the toad. But I guess we'll know that pretty soon.

As for the eight-tails: since Sasuke 'agreed' to work with Akatsuki, he's most likely going to go after it. We don't even know if it's a Jinchuuriki or not. Which, taking Sasuke's behavior so far into account, is probably going to be just the monster. Without host.

Because Sasuke doesn't kill innocent people. Including Naruto. :o

Think about it. The only exceptions are Orochimaru, who wanted to destroy Konoha and Itachi, who actually wanted Sasuke to kill him, making him believe he was the one responsible for the massacre. And now his targets are the elders, who gave the order for the Uchiha clan to be killed.
So far, he has been acting solely as an avenger.

And Naruto did nothing worth avenging. Everyone is basing their assumption that Sasuke would kill Naruto on the fight they had at Oro's hideout. But have you people ever thought of the things he didn't do?

With Sasuke's incredible speed, Naruto could've been dead on the spot, if he really wanted to kill him. Sasuke's fight with that Curse Seal guy at the Northern Hideout proves that. If he was serious, Naruto and Sai would be fried chicken by now with Yamato remaining shish kebab. Instead he opted for knocking them unconscious.

Sure, he was blathering about whims and killings, but c'mon. We all know Sasuke. He says quite the contrary of what he actually means. If he really thought of his friends as annoying and stupid he wouldn't risk his own life to protect them. ;)

And it's not like he has any reason to kill his best friend anymore. It was first assumed that he would do it in order to obtain the Mangekyou Sharingan. He has that now, why bother?

Sasuke is far more kind and loyal toward his friends than we give him credit for. I'm sure he will betray Madara in order to save them. Just wait and see. :D

i think something else will happen, because then the series will end if sasuke is saved from the dark side by naruto. since sasuke already killed itachi, half of the whole plotline is already gone. and besides, the toad praphacy still has to be fufilled in naruto. but to be the devils advecate to myself, i think the series might be going to a close.

I generally agree with Susamajii's theory about the whole thing. Cuz if you look at all that Sasuke has and hasn't done, you'll see that his explanation makes complete sense.

Yeah, i think Sasuke wont let anybody fight Naruto other then himself. Then, i think that Naruto got the sharingan. Cause in an earlier chapter Itachi tells Naruto he gave him some of his power. So then Sasuke figures something out and fights along side with Naruto to kill Tobi (Madara) while Suigetsu fights Kisame and Karin/Jugo fight Zetsu.

i think that sasuke will go after the 8 tails then go see the fight with naruto and pein. akatsuki will capture naruto with sasukes help cuz they defeated pein with help from jeriyas code. kakashi will go after naruto but will get stopped by obito (tobi) who is dillusional thinkng he is madara (or maybe hes possesed by him i dont know) and defeat him and get his eye back and retransplant it inside him and become all powerful with 2 diff. types of mankegyo sharingan. akatsuki will try to get the 9 tails but cant cuz parts of the 9 tails power is locked with that toad key. but they will give up and be happy with up to the 8 tails and tobi/madara will infuse himself with all of the tail beasts that they have and become a jinchuruki himself and have sharingan. naruto will unlock all of the power of the 9 tails and control it and sasuke will help with his sharingan to counter obitos/tobis/madaras so he wont be able to control naruto. then naruto and sasuke will fight together and defeat him. and since naruto unlocked all the power he will be set free from the 9 tails but the 9 tails will grant him some of his extraordinary power so he will still be strong.
