Evolving is good right? We humans are starting to see the bad things our actions are causing. We are beginning to look to other planets to live in. So how can we humans try to change our behavior. So this hot topic is all about future humans who might be living in outer space. We need to find a method in whihc we humans can learn to live with our environment.

Uhhhh.... can you ask that in the form of a question?
Seriously though... the question is all over the place. Are we talking about ways to sustain human life on other planets, how we should clean up our own planet, or just comment on how much we've crapped it up so far? Those are all valid topics, but a bit.... too much to chew on for one thread maybe?

Also, what does it have to do with evolving? Do you mean... how do you think humans will evolve to cope with our new environment in space? Or something?

how we can cooperate with our environment and learn from our polluted mess and not do it again. It deal with evolving because you think we would have become more wiser or more carefull in what to do with technology.

2 things:

Recycle.
Survival of the fittest.

That should answer this thread.

My biology professor used to rant about "survival of the fittest." He said it was redundant because the scientific definition of "fitness" is the ability to produce viable offspring, which is synonymous with survival.

Yeah.... I didn't really get it either.

And this topic.... is still some what mysterious to me. I did like the episode of Futurama where they talked about how wasteful people in the 20th century were, and that the sandwich he was eating was actually made from recycled sandwiches. Lol.

Also, I wonder in the distant future, after the earth has been bled dry of resources.... will people marvel at our extravagant use of toilet paper?

I think I get it. All you need to survive is a penis strong enough to withstand alot of breeding. That's the basic gist of it though.

Recycled... Sandwiches? O_o

People will always marvel at our extravagant use of toilet paper. Hell, several people wanted to steal my collection of used bandages. But one shotgun was enough to stop them all.

Sir, have you not noticed any sarcasm in that post?

That's pretty much the face he made in the episode. Actually I can't remember if he spits it out or just starts chewing really slowly.... whichever it was, it was hilarious.

And I've long thought that sarcasm should be in a different font style/color. You know... it kills the humor, but at least it avoids a lot of unnecessary explanation.

And that must have been quite the shot gun. I heard tell on the tv if you send in all of those used bandages, you can get yourself a heap of money.

Or was that scrap gold?

6 shells was all that I needed. The TV never lied before, why would it lie now? :D
I tried to send them in, but the voices told me that evil henchmen would do bad things to my babies. I'll never let them go.

The history of man, as opposed to every other animal on our planet, is that we force our environment to adapt to our needs, instead of adapting to our environment. How will we survive? Well, if we do survive, it'll likely be through advanced sciences- creating our own mini-environments, engineering artificial sources of food and drink, protecting ourselves from the elements, etc., etc. Dunno how long it'll take, but that's the future I predict for people. Pre-Singularity, anyway.
