I agree with you guys but what makes us humans be racist at times? Also if we knew that we could try to stop being racist in certain ereas.

It's because of history. Wars between these people and those people, enslavement of these people, genocide of these people, etc., etc.

Like I said before, the foundation of racism is grouping. When people create groups based on something, it creates an idea of different. People then have pride based on their group. Once they gain a high enough pride, they try to create shame for those not a part of their group. Instead of groups, we should see each other as individuals.

Also, racism goes both ways. As far as I'm concerned, racism is doing anything to a member of another race because of their race. That could be either good or bad. Take for example, if you attack a man because he is black, that is racism. In the same sense, if you hire a man because he is black that is also racism. Despite the fact that both of these things would be complete opposites on the spectrum of good vs. bad, they are both equally racist because they derive from the same original reason.

race will always be a problem even if we try to make things equal thats what hitler tried to do and look how that turned out. People will always think that they are better than the person next to them. Its the pride within people that wont let this race problem be solved

*spits out drink*

Oh boy....Hitler and equality in one and the same sentence is not a good combination...Do I really have to elaborate this?
Okay...well, in short...the Nazis differentiated between four different "race classes" like nordic-arish and judaic and, I forgot the other two, and all that bullshit...So, if you were in any other class than the Jewish, no problem... Not as good as blue-eyed blond haired but okay. Anyone you didn't apply to the Nazi standard like being jewish, homosexual, black or a communist was killed of. But still people were different and considered to have different values. People from Eastern Europe were considered less and used for cleaning the streets and hard work in German factories. Hitler didn't want equality, he knew he needed slaves. Yes, he wanted the arish race to prevail and rule the world, but he wanted to rule over all other races too.

Other than that, I think race is overrated and being proud of it is something for people you have nothing better to be proud of. Sounds harsh. But to me there's a difference in between simply being proud cause you're black, white, yellow or blue with red stripes or being proud of your cultural heritage and your origins and your country. I'm proud to be kraut, I love my country, I love the culture, I am proud of our achievments and ashamed of our failures. But not cause I'm white or because I think that make me better than anyone.

People shouldn't feel any pride or shame based on something that they had no control over.Michael Jackson. I rest my case.

You are brought up to believe what your family does.Jawhat? Yeah this is sort of false.

I also dislike racism in both directions (like Orochi said) however I'll admit that I definitely checked off the PR box on my college apps and standardized testing scores. I felt really guilty though. I'm a hypocrite and I know it.

Also: what Orochi says is pretty much dead on. Listen to him.
