There is no way dat the actions could be made even with strings or cords plus all of the jutsus most likely will look corny......how would water appear out of no where or fire and just be controlled.....dont think there is enough technology for that to happen. Assuming we're speaking Hollywood liveaction...

It doesn't matter to me that the voices wouldn't be right, it would just bother me because a liveaction movie would mean taking Naruto and chopping it up into tiny little pieces to try and fit as much of the 3000+ hours of anime as possible into 2-3 hours of film. Also, because people are STUPID they would hire 16-year-olds to play the 12-year-old characters, and they would make all of the characters white.

Ok, some of the characters are allowed to be white, but certain characters - *cough*SASUKE*cough* would have to be Asian in order to keep the correct look. They would change Sakura's hair color to something more natural - like some kind of burnt red color - and change the character's lines and personalities to make them seem more "realistic" (despite the fact that they're NINJAS from an ANIME)

But, they probably will make a liveaction Naruto movie, considering how well the anime does in America...

1) Imitating the coolness that Kakashi has. Impossible.

2) The gleam in the eyes of both Guy and Lee. Impossible.

1) there would be way too much cgi (e.g. the demons, the chakra, the techniques) and it would ruin it
2) because of all the violence and--ahem--other stuff, it would have to be at least R-rated.
3) have you seen anyone able to copy the hair? no. cuz i've seen plenty of cosplay images on photobucket and they look nothing like the anime.
4) Gaara and Deidara would just look wrong (as would almost everyone).

So no, I hope they do not make a live-action film.

sorry if this has already been said, but about a month or two ago on saiyanisland, one of the news updates was that vizmedia is negotiating in hollywood to open a film studio...if the negotiations were a success, then we can expect to see a spew of live action adaptions of different animes/mangas including naruto, bleach and anything else thats bound to make tonnes of money no matter how bad (or good, however its unlikely) it is...

But yeah!! live action kakashi would pwn!! :)

I don't think it would be an "epic" failure or an "epic". If it was American (hollywood) made, I think it would be horrible. I think it would be something best left for Hong Kong Cinema to handle. If you seen all the cosplay's U'd know that there's some pretty decent costume designers out there. Now the only problem would be finding a look alike who CAN act AND HAS martial arts experience. the special effects in the anime are probably SOO EASY to pull off nowadays in movies. For the special effects maybe this is where HK Cinema can cross over w/ Hollywood. I'd prefer great action to great acting in this genre. Seriously how many chop socky movies have any good actors?
Seeing this movie would be pretty damn interesting to me. I mean, I fell in love w/ all the amazing look alike FF Cosplay chicks. I couldn't wait to see some real life Naruto girls. hahaha

It's been done already. Look at the last movie for X-Men. There is a guy there that was able to make copies of himself.

It is possible to make a naruto movie, it might not come out as bad as some of you think. The X-Men movies came out good. The Spiderman movies have been good. The Transformers movie was good enough for them to start a second movie now. The main thing, besides nailing the characters down perfectly, is getting a good storyline, otherwise it will be the pitts. I think that naruto will have to be similar to X-men in graphics if you really think about it and those movies made a TON.

By the way, not sure if any of you know this, but there is a Dragonball live action movie out there. It SUCKS! Very poorly done and no storyline. But it's a Dragonball, not a Dragonball Z, so it's based when Goku was a kid and he is training under master Roschi (or however you spell his name, and it's funny that both his and Jaraiya are perverts and teachers of the main character).

I don't think the cast will be an issue, the real issue would be if they can somehow "not" degrade the anime by making the fight scenes less awsome. Let's face it, the only format that the fight scenes in Naruto would kill is if it's anime.

Take the Watchmen trailers, for example. Having read all twelve issues of the original comic four times each, the trailers look pretty faithful to the source material. It has me pretty excited, honestly.

Naruto is different, though. I can't see this happening in a way any fans could stomach right now, but I'm always open to pleasant surprises.

Well death note is a different type of anime all together, it can be done in live action because the characters aren't jumping from treetop to treetop throwing knifes at each other.
