In another forum im registered at, on the little envelope next to the threads, it would have an arrow on it, to show that you have already posted in it. i thought thats a good idea as i often forget which questions iv already answered...

Did i describe it correctly?

That, my friend, is an excellent idea.

It's rather easy to see wich thread you have posted in. The threads in bold text have not been seen or answered by you. The threads that are not in bold text have been seen/answered by you.

That works until you sign out or close your browser. Then they pop back up again in bold. Or maybe that is only me since I use google chrome.

Hmm, yes. I have the same problem. Well it would still happen even if you add the arrow thing (i think). It's worth a try.

Well, i use another way. I auto-subscribe to any thread that i post in. Thus, i only have to check my userCP in order to see the threads that caught my interest. I never get the "wait 60 seconds before searching" message either. It's handy.

Well, on the other forum, the little arrow appears immediately after you have posted in it and automatically registers you to that thread, so no matter how old the thread gets, the arrow stays there so you know you have posted:nod:
