Okay. I have been writing this on the narutofan forums for awhile and I decided to post it here also. This Fic also shows my love for dragons(are involved in the story). There are OC's in it from my friends at the narutofan forums also. Well enjoy the fic!!!

Here's the very short begining.

Sakura moaned in irration. Sitting in Tsunade's office while listening to her give a long boring speech wasn't worth the mission. She just wanted to go find Sasuke already.

"As I said, we have to wait." Tsunade said.

"Huh? What do you mean wait!? We finally get a chance to go after Sasuke and you want to wait!?" Sakura yelled.

"Sakura, you weren't listening. I sent for some help. We're waiting until the ninja I asked for come help us. So your stuck here UNTIL they show up." Tsunade replied.

"Ugh............I hate my life..........." Sakura muttered.

Chapter 1
Sakura slumped into a chair. She hated waiting. And now of all times, she didn't want to wait. She glanced out the window and watched people rebuild from the damage. A couple weeks ago, ninja from the mist attacked the village. The village survived with all thanks to the ninja of the Leaf. But the reason for attack? No one knew. She recalled everyone that fought, none escaped without a sctratch. Something grabbed her from behind and she screamed. She turned around to a girl alittle older than her laugh at her face.

"Yuki! That wasn't funny!" Sakura yelled.

"Yes it was! You should've seen her face! Priceless!" She gasped out.

Sakura sighed. Yuki was very full of mischief for someone her age. She was tall and thin, with short black hair with bright blue eyes. She looked like an average girl but for the people who knew her, she was one hell of a fighter when it came to missions. But Yuki wasn't allowed on missions anymore. She had been severly injured during the attack and nearly lost her left eye. All injuries had healed except her eye and it still had to be covered up.

"I thought Itachi told you to stay home. If he catches you, your in for it." Sakura muttered.

Yuki smiled wolfishly and chuckled.

"What he doesn't know, won't hurt him. He's on a mission so he isn't here to remind me. Besides, I'm careful."

"Yea right. If your so careful, why did you nearly lose that eye?"

"Because I was protecting your ass while you were healing some ninja." She replied wickedly.

"What are you doing here anyways? Besides the piss me off part."

"Looking for my ferret."

"Ferret? I thought Itachi didn't want any pets!"

Yuki grinned.

"Again, what he doesn't know, won't hurt him. Now if you excuse me, I have to find the ferret before someone else does."

Yuki waved goodbye and skipped away. Sakura sighed. Now she understood how the 23 year old could be so annoying. She tried to imagine how Itachi could put up with her on a daily bases but failed in trying. Naruto ran down the hall toward her. He skidded to a halt in front of her and smiled.

"Sakura-chan! I finally found you!" He cheered.

"What Naruto?"

"Grandma Tsunade wishes to see you. Says she got a small group willing to go."

"This better be worth it."

"Heh.....heh.....about that, you'll flip out....."

"Oh great."

The so called “helpÃ¢à ‚¬Â was waiting quietly in Tsunade’s office. Four girls sat in akward silence and glanced at each other curiously. The oldest of the group didn’t pay attention to anyone. Magiwa was a 28 year old ninja. She was tall and slim. Her body was muscular for a girl, with brown spiky hair. She sat on Tsunade’s desk, plainly bored with everyone.

“Soââ €šÂ¬Ã‚¦..you to huh?” Asked one of the younger girls.

“Yup.Ã¢à ‚¬Â Magiwa replied.

“Iââ⠀šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢m Ryouuku Nanashi. And you are?” She asked again.

“Magiwa.â €

She looked at Nanashi. Nanashi was tall and had a broad build. Her wavy black, red streaked hair was long, all the way down to her hip. And her medium tan complamented her deep emerald eyes.

“Oh, is everyone introducing themselves? Well I’m Sari.”

Sari was 15. She had blonde hair and green eyes. She wore a black ninja outfit and had a headband tied to her head. The star in the middle indicated that she was from the Hidden Star village.

“Well, I’m Saiya.”

Saiya was another 15 year old. She had long black hair in braids with blue eyes. She wore a whirlpool headband and a regular ninja outfit. The door opened and Naruto then Sakura walked in. Sakura took one look at the group and…ââ⠚¬Â¦

“Youâ⠂¬â„¢ve got to be freakin’ Kidding me! Are you serious!?” Sakura yelled.

“Yesââ ‚¬Â¦.â€Â  Tsunade replied.

“Hell no! I can see why Magiwa but these three!? I’m not having kids with me while trailing Sasuke! They’ll get in the way!”

“Their going with you.”

“No! Can’t you give me more experienced ninja!? Like Yuki for example!?”

“ThatÃ¢à ‚¬â„¢s enough Sakura! Their the only ones available! So whether you like it or not, their going with you! Understood!? And besidesÃ¢â‚¬Â¦Ã¢à ‚¬Â¦Ã¢â‚¬Â ¦Itachi would have my head for sending Yuki out before she’s fully recovered…..Even though she’s fine in my book…ââ⠀šÂ¬Ã‚¦Ã¢â‚¬Â¦ …â↬

“Yesââ ‚¬Â¦Ã¢â‚¬Â ¦.” Sakura meekly replied.

“Now since Magiwa is the oldest, she’ll be in charge. What she says goes. Now you’ll listen to her no questions asked.”

The girls nodded in agreement. Sakura silently fumed in anger.

“According to our info source…Sasuke was last seen up north, in the land of snow…I hope you’ll all wear something warm. I give you at least 5 months to complete this mission if possible. Report any time you can. Dismissed.”

The girls left Tsunade’s office. Magiwa turned to the group trailing behind her.

“Get all your gear and make it fast. The sooner we leave, the sooner we can catch him. Understood?” Magiwa said.

“Hell Yea!” Nanashi yelled.

“LookÃ¢à ‚¬Â¦..lets just meet by the gate….when we’re all ready….â⠂¬Â Sakura muttered.

“Sounds like a plan.” Saiya said.


Chapter 2
The weather was clam. The sky was grey as snow quietly fell to the earth. The temperature was pretty warm and bearable. A figure trudged through the knee high snow, bold and determined. The young man effortlessly kept a decent pace in the thick snow. Slowing down wasn’t an option for him. It grew colder as he neared his destination. His long black cloak warded off most of the cold. At long last, he reached a large cave and fearlessly entered. The deeper he went, the warmer it grew. He finally stopped and glared into the darkness.

“Come forth you great beast! I know you’re here!” He shouted.

The faint rustling of claws and scales against stone sounded throughout the cave. The sound grew louder as it came closer. A large silver dragon appeared from the darkness. Its scales shone like moonlight in the faint light as its deep mercury colored eyes gazed at him.

“Human. Why are you here? State your name and business for coming to my lair.” The dragon hissed softly.

“Iââ⠀šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢m Sasuke Uchiha and I’ve come to ask for a partnership with you.”

“Uchiha? Very rare for one to venture out this far…ââ⠚¬Â¦Ã¢â‚¬Â¦w hy do you have need of me?”

“Your great power would help assist me. I need your help just for a couple of things.”

“Its about Konoha isn’t it?”

Sasuke looked at the dragon in surprise.

“How did you know? I didn’t say anything.”

“Your mind is an open book. All I did was look. You want to destroy the village? And all those who live there?”

“Yes.Ã¢à ‚¬Â

“I sense you want to but, there’s something in the way. A girl. You want no harm to come to her. But here you are, wanting destruction on the very village she’s at. What do you want boy? You can only have one.”

Sasuke bit his lip. He silently cursed all dragons that could read thoughts. The silver laughed hoarsely, apparently still reading his exact thought.

“I like you boy. So I’ll tell you what, I’ll help you get both. All the dragons of this mountain will be glad to help you. Now come along, we have plans to discuss.”

The silver turned and headed back down the dark corridor. Sasuke hesitated for a bit then followed quickly. A thought screamed into his mind, telling him not to go through with this. He pushed it aside, not caring for the moment.

“Weââ €šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢ll give you unimaginable power.” The silver hissed.

Chapter 3 and 4
Sakura and Magiwa walked toward the village gate. As they approached , Sakura saw Yuki and someone dressed in Anbu clothing at the gate. As she got closer, she could hear a conversation:

“Absolutly not. Your in no condition to go out and wander around. You temperedly lost use of that eye, that’s a blind spot for anyone to take advantage of.”

“I still have my other keen sense Itachi. Stop treating me like a kit. Father does that enough…ââ ‚¬Â¦.â€Â 

“He has a right to do so. I have a right to fear for your safety. Now listen and stay home like I asked you to.”

“Iââ⠀šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢m sorry. Are we interrupting something?” Magiwa asked.

“No.â⠂¬Â Itachi replied.

Sakura sighed and watched as the rest of the girls ran toward them. And to Sakura’s disbelief, Nanashi had two bear sized wolves with her, followed by another girl.

“And you are?” Magiwa asked.

“Kisara Momochi. Tsunade sent me at the last minute with you guys.”

“Look. Is everyone ready to go or what?” Sakura asked impatiently.

“Yes.Ã¢à ‚¬Â Yuki bluntly replied.

Itachi stared at her wide-eyed.

“I said no Yuki! You could be killed!”

“ThatÃ¢à ‚¬â„¢s a risk I’m taking.”

Itachi looked like he was about to argue but stopped himself. He resorted to staring her in the eye. When that didn’t work, he finally gave up and hugged her.

“Be careful then. Because when you come back, I’ll drop you from the tallest cliff I can find.”

The girls snickered while Yuki’s eyes flared in annoyence.

“Okay, okay. Geez. Lay off will you?”

“Where losing daylight here. Let’s leave already.” Nanashi growled.

The group departed at a quick pace. Their first destination, the nearest sea port. Then, on to the land of snow.

Sasuke eyed the dragons carefully. He didn’t trust them in the least bit. After a long silence, the silver finally spoke.

“So, you’ve need of power?”

“Yes.Ã¢à ‚¬Â Sasuke replied.

“We won’t help you physically. We will grant you a special gift. But only if you accept the consequences of it.”

“What are the consequences?”

“Its not reversible. You must live with it for the rest of your life. We shall bestow upon you the might of a dragon. No human will oppose you. You will be unstoppable. Do you accept?”

Sasuke hesitated for a moment then reluctantly nodded his head. The silver laughed hoarsly and nodded to the others. After awhile a small white dragon appeared with a cup. The silver took it and held it in front of Sasuke.

“Drink.⠢‚¬Â The silver hissed.

Sasuke took it and stared at the dark liquid. Steam whisped from it and it smelled faintly of a copper tint. His stomach churned in distaste.

“Drink it already.” The silver commanded.

Sasuke grimaced and drank the bitter liquid. He was brought to his knees by the burning pain in his stomach. His body shuttered violently as an alien power coursed threw his veins. At long last, it ended. Sasuke gasped for air, his body covered in sweat. The silver approached Sasuke and dropped a small red pendant, in the shape of a dragon, at his feet.

“This will hold your new power.”

“WhatÃ¢à ‚¬Â¦Ã¢â‚¬Â ¦.the hell was that crap?”

The silver snickered slightly.

“That was…ââ⠚¬Â¦Ã¢â‚¬Â¦r ed dragon’s blood.”

“WHAT!?⠢‚¬Â

“You can now take the shape of a dragon, a red more precisely. You can now crush that village by yourself. Of course, after we teach you how to fly and breath fire.”

“If this will help, so be it.” Sasuke muttered darkly.

“ThatÃ¢à ‚¬â„¢s the spirit. When your ready, we’ll practice on that village down the mountain. Prepare yourself.”

The dragons left him alone. Sasuke sat in the darkness, studying the pendant. Already, he was planning on what he’s going to do. He clutched the pendant when his thoughts turned to Sakura. He shook his head , as if he wanted to be rid of her at the moment.

“Get over her. She probably likes Naruto now anyways.” He muttered to himself.

Chapter 5
The girls made their way through the snow at a slow pace. Magiwa lead the group silently while Yuki was no where to be seen. Magiwa was used to her coming and going but the other glanced around nervously. Sakura ignored everyone, keeping up with Magiwa and glanced around every now and then. Snow flew out of no where and hit Nanashi. She looked around wildly, trying to find the culprit. Snow pelted the others and they all ducked behind a rock.

“Who the hell is throwing snow!?” Nanashi hissed.

“Iââ⠀šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢ll give you a hint.” Sakura muttered.

“Who does she think she is? Oh well, two can play at that game…ââ⠀šÂ¬Ã‚ Magiwa replied.

Magiwa carefully scooped up snow and tightly compressed it into a ball. She tossed it in the air a couple of times to make sure it stayed together. She grinned and took aim at the spot she knew where Yuki was at.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea….ââ €šÂ¬Ã‚ Kisara said.

“Just watch.” Magiwa replied.

She threw the snow ball at such great force that Yuki was knocked out of her hiding place. Yuki shook off the snow and glared at her.

“Had your fun? Now lets go.” Magiwa said.

“Act your age Yuki! We’re supposed to keep watch not play around!” Sakura hissed.

“Fun wreakers…..â € Yuki muttered.

Sakura sighed and started to walk away. Magiwa and Yuki looked around uneasily. As Sakura was about to question them, men jumped out of no where and charged at them. The girls drew weapons and waited. Yuki slunk over to Magiwa.

“Donâ⠂¬â„¢t attack. Their poor people….Ã¢à ‚¬Â Yuki whispered.

“I realize that.” Magiwa replied.

“Today you breath your last you foul beasts! You won’t torment our village any longer!” One of the men yelled.

“Beasts? Are they talking about your wolves Nanashi?” Kisara asked.

“I don’t think so….I think they’re talking about us….ââ⠚¬Â She replied.

“Uh excuse me? We’re not from around here but, I think you got the wrong people.” Yuki yelled.

“Quiet you lieing beasts! We know your kind can shape shift!”

“Weââ €šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢re not beasts! We’re normal ninja!”

“Prove it!”

“How can we!?”

“Everyone knows that when a dragon changes form, they wear a pendant in the shape and color of beast they are. If you have one show us.”

“Sorry, we don’t have any…ââ⠚¬Â¦..â€ÂÂ

The men looked at each other then looked at the girls.

“Weââ €šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢re sorry for troubling you. You see, our village is being constantly attacked by the beasts of the mountain. Is there any way you can forgive us?”

“Yea, did you by chance meet a guy named Sasuke?” Sakura asked.

“Him? He’s probably dead by now. The moron marched right up the mountain. Anyways, would you like to come to the village?”

“Yes.Ã¢à ‚¬Â Magiwa replied.

The girls followed carefully behind them. On a near by cliff, a silver, black, and red dragon, gazed at the village. The red was odd for its kind. This one had onyx colored eyes than the usual amber. Sasuke shifted position and resettled his wings. He wasn’t used to this form yet so he was careful on what he did.

“Lets us go and kill those worms.” The black hissed.

The silver nodded and all three of them took off.

Chapter 6
As they approached the village, Sakura could see how ravaged the village was. It looked peaceful, that is, until a large shadow fell over them.

“DRAGONS!à€ A villager screamed.

All hell broke loose out of the village. People ran around screaming in shear terror. The girls looked up to see a black and silver dragon drop from the sky, landing amongst the frightened villagers. The beasts started clawing and biting at anyone close.

“Come on! We got to help them!” Yuki yelled as she charged at the black.

“Damn girl! You wanna get killed!? Nanashi, go help her out. Kisara, your with me. We’ll go after the silver. Sakura, Sari, and Saiya, you go help any wounded. Help only if your asked to.” Magiwa said.

They nodded and got to work. Sakura ran down the street, Sari and Saiya way behind her. Sakura looked at the sky and stopped dead in her tracks. A large red flew lazily in the air, scanning the rooftops for any archers. It looked at the building she was by, finding archers that were ready to shot at its wings. She saw the muscles in its neck constrict as it opened its terrible muzzle. Before she could warn them, fire erupted from the red’s mouth and engulfed the entire building. The screams of the archers were soon drowned out by the roar of the fire. Sakura gasped in shear terror as the red landed and gracefully folded its wings. It regarded her with onyx eyes and turned away.

“Onyx eyes?” Sakura muttered.

An archer from another building readied his arrows and shot at the red. The red ducked as the arrows buried themselves into Sakura’s body. She had little time to react as the force of the impact forced her to the ground. Sasuke stopped in his tracks. The scent of blood filled the air. His nostrils flared at the unmistakable scent. Wide-eyed, he turned to Sakura. To his complete fear, the arrows struck her instead of him. He growled and spat fire at the archer. The archer screamed and fell from the building. He turned back to Sakura and reached out for the arrow shafts. Sakura whimpered in fear as the red’s claws reached toward her. The soft thwong of bows sounded as the red roared in surprise. Arrows were loosely lodged into its back. Sasuke growled and just started to pull on the shafts the pierced Sakura’s body.

“Damnit! Guys, Sakura’s in trouble!” Magiwa yelled.

Sasuke glanced at them and made up his mind. Sakura gasped as his claws wrapped around her waist and tightly held her in place. With a soft growl, Sasuke unfurled his wings and beated them powerfully until he was high up in the air. With a last glance at the village, he gained altitude and disappeared over the treetops.

“That beast gots Sakura!” Yuki yelled.

The girls looked at Magiwa silently, awaiting further orders.

Chapter 7
Sakura clung to her capture’s claws tightly. It was a long way to the ground and she hoped it wouldn’t let go. The dragon continued to climb higher into the air, as if it was determined to be out of sight from the ground. And occasionally, it would anxiously glance at her, as if she would recognize who it was. She sniffled and began to ponder on why the red would take her.

‘Dinner maybe? No, probably swallow me in one gulp. Ransom? No. Food for hatchlings!?’ She thought horrified.

The red made some sort of noise, deep in its throat. It took a while for Sakura to realise that it was laughing at her. As for why, she did not know. The red turned abruptly, jarring Sakura from her thoughts. She looked up and saw that the red had come up to a mountain. It wheeled about lazily, finally finding a cave entrance that she guessed was its lair. It landed awkwardly, being ever so careful not to crush her with its weight. But as soon as it realesed her, she bolted toward the entrance. It surprised the hell out of Sasuke on how quickly she ran. But he wasn’t going to let his prize escape that easily. He swung his tail at Sakura, knocking her to the ground. He picked her up, carrying her like a cat would carry a kitten, and walked into the dark corridor. Sakura was scared that it would swallow her in irratation. After awhile, Sasuke dropped her and lit a fire in the middle of the room. He settled himself by the fire, his eyes gazing at Sakura. She sat up, unnerved by his piercing eyes. She finally worked up the nerve to talk to the red.

“What do you want with me?” She asked.

“Just to talk.” He replied.

“I don’t want to talk to a beast that killed innocent people.”

Sasuke rolled his eyes.

“It was of great importance. You wouldn’t understand.”

“I don’t think I want to.”

Sasuke’s eye twitched. He wanted to talk to her person to person, not person to dragon. But he didn’t want her to know the red was him. He decided he was better off putting her to sleep. He touched her head with the tip of his claw and stared into her eyes.

“Sleep.⠢‚¬Â He commanded.

Sakura slumped to the floor. When she woke, the red wasn’t there. She rubbed her eyes and stretched.

“Its about time you woke up.” A familiar voice said.

Sakura gasped and looked at Sasuke. He returned her stare with his usual scowl.

“Sasuke-kun?” She asked.

“Sakura-chan.” He replied.

Sakura gaped at him in shock. Sasuke…ââ ‚¬Â¦.wellâ€à ‚¦Ã¢â‚¬Â¦just smiled at her.

WAZZ ZAT???!!! UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!

Chapter 8

Magiwa sighed in releif. The silver dragon was dead at her feet. She looked at Kisara, who smiled in return. Pleased with herself, she turned her attention to the black dragon. Yuki and Nanashi were doing a lot of damage but still didn’t land a fatal blow. The black roared in rage when Yuki clambered on its back. Nanashi weaved between the black’s legs, distracting it as Yuki climbed onto its head.

“This is going to hurt.” Yuki muttered.

She drew out her sword then stabbed into one of the black’s golden eyes. The black screamed in pain and reared up, pawing at its face. It clawed Yuki off, throwing her to the ground. The black turned to Yuki, hate burning in its remaining eye while its ruined eye oozed fluids. It spread its emense wings and launched itself into the sky. It hastily flew in the direction the Red had earlier. Yuki sighed in relief as Nanashi helped her to her feet.

“Now all that is left is to go rescue Sakura.” Yuki said.

“No. We need a plan first.” Nanashi replied.

“Fine. I just hope Sakura isn’t dead.” Yuki muttered.

Sakura was not dead. In fact she was alive and well. She couldn’t believe what transpired earlier. She had a major breakthrough with Sasuke. He actually listened to what she had to say. But what surprised her the most was when he shattered the silence, saying he loved her. So now, here she was, with Sasuke. She was cuddled up with him, her head laying on his chest. They both had dozed off, Sasuke more asleep than Sakura. She really wasn’t interested in sleeping but, Sasuke was. He only told her he was to exhausted to continue talking. But she knew he was still awake to some point.

“Sasuke?â €

“Hn.â⠂¬Â Was his tired reply.

“Do you still have the curse mark?”

“No. Orochimaru is dead.”

“But how? Isn’t he supposed to be a sannin?”

Sasuke chuckled slightly.
“He was weak Sakura. I was stronger than him so I killed him.”

“I find that hard to believe.”

“Weather you like it or not, he’s dead as dead can be.”

Just as she was about to argue, Sasuke snapped wide awake. Before she could say anything, Sasuke covered her mouth, ignoring her mumbled protests. He looked around cautiously. Sakura could see his face went pale when he looked toward the cavern entrance. Her heart skipped a beat when she heard wing beats from outside. Sasuke looked around frantically while swearing under his breath. Sakura nearly screamed when the same black dragon that attacked, landed at the cavern entrance.

“Donâ⠂¬â„¢t do anything Sakura. Don’t move, don’t scream, don’t even get his attention. He’ll kill you before hearing what I got to say. Understand?”

Sakura nodded stiffly, not taking her eyes off the horrible beast. She noted the black’s ruined eye, understanding what happened during the battle. Sasuke removed his hand, sensing it was no longer needed to quiet her. She watched as Sasuke stood up and casually walked toward the black.

“Blackclawà¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚¦Ã¢â‚¬ ‚ Sasuke muttered.

“Sasuke.â € The dragon hissed.

Sasuke nodded and tapped his head. Blackclaw hissed and stomped in annoyence.

I read the first chapter! hmm pretty good, back to the Sasuke retrieval arc.
Hmm that's a bunch of older ninja than Sakura! Anyway, i like it, though I'm still a little confused on each individual person, heh~

Chapter 9

Sakura was totally confused. The black and Sasuke were totally silent. They were still looking at each other but, other wise quiet. She was pretty sure there was some sort of silent conversation going on between the two. Occasionally, the black would growl and Sasuke would quiet it down. She froze solid when the black looked up and regarded her with a golden eye. It opened its mouth a tiny bit, allowing saliva to drip from its fangs to the floor. She heard a sizzling sound and looked at the floor beneath the black’s open maw, only to see the solid rock eat away.

‘Acid!?Ã¢à ‚¬â„¢ She thought horrified.

“Blackclaw! You gave your word! You said you wouldn’t harm her!” Sasuke snarled.

The black blinked and turned to Sasuke.

“I won’t going to do anything. Now listen here fire wyrm. Silverwing is dead, that means any plans you made with him are now nothing. I rein as leader now, so you better watch your back.” He hissed.

Sasuke gritted his teeth as the black turned and walked down a dark corridor. Sasuke stood there and glared at the black’s retreating form. Sakura hesitated for a bit then walked toward Sasuke. When she touched his shoulder, she felt his body tense up.

“Sasuke? What was that all about? I didn’t even hear you two talk.”

He relaxed and turned to her.

“Dragons can speak mind to mind without saying anything.”

“Butâ⠂¬Â¦..†

“Its nothing that you should worry about. Just drop the subject.”

“Sasuke. Is something bothering you? You look troubled…âà ¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚¦..Ã¢â‚¬à 

“It really doesn’t concern you. Now I’m going to bed, I suggest you do the same.”

He turned and walked back to the lighted chamber. Sakura sighed and followed. It was well after midnight when Sakura was shaken awake. She looked up to meet Sasuke’s gaze.

“Get up.” Sasuke whispered.
“WhatÃ¢à ‚¬â„¢s going on?”

“No time to explain. Get your gear.”

“Butââ ‚¬Â¦.â€Â 

“Move it Sakura. We have to hurry.”

Tired and confused, she did as she was told. She knew something was wrong, just by hearing the anxiety in his voice. As she collected her stuff, she watched as he paced back and forth, muttering under his breath. He fidgeted and wouldn’t stay still. She finally had everything together and walked up to him. He was looking down at the steep mountain side, his eyes clearly troubled.

“What are we going to do?” She asked.

“Iââ⠀šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢m taking you back to your friends. Its to dangerous for us here.”

“How are we going to get down though?” She demanded.

“We jump.” He retorted.

“Are you crazy!? Lets just jump and hope we survive!?”

“Yup.Ã¢à ‚¬Â

“I don’t think so!”

“To bad. Not your choice to make.”

Sasuke flung Sakura on his back. With much protest from Sakura, he settled her comfortably in place and readied himself. With one last look at the cavern, Sasuke took a deep breath and leaped off the entrance. Controlling his fall, he landed, without injury, on the thick snow. He let Sakura down while chuckling under his breath.

“You crazy bastardÃ¢â‚¬Â¦Ã¢à ‚¬Â¦..We actually survived….⠢‚¬Â Sakura gasped out.

“And you still doubt it?”

“Not anymoreÃ¢â‚¬Â¦Ã¢à ‚¬Â¦..Ã¢â‚¬à 

“Good.âà ¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚

Sasuke pulled her to him and kissed her as passionate as he could muster at the moment. Sakura blushed furiously as he released her from his grip. They looked at each other for a long time, searching each others eyes for the faintest hint of acceptance. A loud roar jolted them to realality. They turned to see a huge blue dragon diving at them, claws extended. Sakura gulped while Sasuke glared at it.

“Oh no…ââ⠚¬Â¦Ã¢â‚¬Â Sakura whispered.

Chapter 10

Sasuke shoved Sakura to the ground and drew out his sword. The blue swooped over him and Sasuke stabbed it clean into the belly. The beast roared in surprise and crashed to the ground. Sakura sighed and got up. Sasuke stilled watched his fallen foe as Sakura walked toward him. The blue began to stir as Sasuke swore under his breath and clutched his red pendant. The blue roared in defiance and leaped at them.

“Sakura! Get back!” Sasuke snarled.

“But Sasuke!”

“Do as I say!”

She gulped and hesitantly obeyed. The blue flapped its wing once, blowing snow around so much it caused a near white out. Sakura squinted to see but couldn’t see Sasuke or the blue. A feral roar broke the silence followed by a sharp yelp of pain. When the snow finally settled, Sakura froze in complete fear. Where Sasuke once stood was the very same red dragon that kidnapped her. The red growled loudly as the blue slunk back. Rivets of blood dotted the dragons’ hides. The blue’s wings were torn and broken, no longer to carry it in flight. The red roared and tackled the blue, both now fighting in a bloody battle. The red sunk its fangs into the blue’s throat and held. The blue screeched and clawed frantically at the red, trying to get free. Sakura watched as the blue slowly stopped struggling, its eyes finally glazing over as the whole body went limp. The red released the corpse and turned to Sakura. It closed it eyes and muttered something in Draconic. In a flash of blinding light, the red was gone, leaving Sasuke were it once stood. Sakura’s stomach twisted into knots, realizing now everything. Sasuke looked at her calmly, ready for what reaction she had.

“You ungrateful idiot…ââ €šÂ¬Ã‚¦..It was you all along…ââ €šÂ¬Ã‚¦Ã¢â‚¬Â .you lieing bastardÃ¢â‚¬Â¦Ã¢à ‚¬Â¦..Ã¢â‚¬à 

“Sakura let me explainÃ¢â‚¬Â¦Ã¢à ‚¬Å“ Sasuke pleaded.

“Explain what Sasuke! You killed innocent people! And for what!? To test your new power!? You always hurt people in one way or another! Why did you do this!?” Sakura screamed.

“Why? I was stupid Sakura. I believed I could be happy if I destroyed the leaf. The very village that ordered the death of my clan. But upon seeing you again, I realized, I couldn’t bring myself to do it.”

Sakura clenched her fist and punched him in the face. Sasuke just wiped the blood from his lip and sadly looked at her.

“And to think I could trust you again. Your such a horrible person Sasuke. Don’t you think of the lives you would destroy?”

“I did. I was blinded by anger. I didn’t care at that moment.”

“You still are a horrible person . I can’t believe you.”

She turned and started to walk away, heading toward the ravaged village.

“Sakura, wait. Give me one more chance.” Sasuke pleaded.

“I did Sasuke. So many times before, I’ve had it. We’re done.”

She continued walking away. She didn’t see the hurt expression on his face, nor did she want to at the moment. Sasuke stood there in shock. He finally sighed in despair and left also.

“Sakura!â €

Sakura whirled around as Yuki leaped from a tree on front of her. Yuki’s eye was no longer covered. The only thing that showed sign of her fight was a light scar.

“Yuki?âà ¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚

“Weââ €šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢ve been looking everywhere for you! C’mon, lets head back to the others.”

Sakura smiled and followed her.

Chapter 11

Sasuke sat against a tree. He sighed and started calling himself many kinds of idiots. He continued until he started to repeat himself. He grimaced and stood up. As he walked through the snow covered forest, he became more aware of dragons nears by. Curiosity got the best of him and he neared a small clearing. As quiet as he could, he hid behind a tree and listened to two dragons converse.

“See those humans down there by the ravine?”

“Yea. What about them?”

“Blackclaw says they’re dangerous, killed Silverwing they did.”

“Huh. Wasn’t he going to kill them today?”

“Yea. Especially that one right there.”

“What one?”

“The one with the pink hair! He said Sasuke left cuz of that one. Said she doesn’t deserve to live now.”

Sasuke gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. Even though he had a spat with Sakura, he still didn’t want harm to come her way. A large form flew over head, Sasuke knowing it was Blackclaw. His blood boiled in complete rage. He turned and ran after Blackclaw.

“Iââ⠀šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢ll die before you kill her.” Sasuke muttered.

“This sucks! Can we just hurry!?” Yuki whined.

“Since we got here, you’ve done nothing but complain…..â € Kisara said.

“Hey! I did something! I fought that big old ugly black!”

“Yea, but you didn’t kill it. Like you were supposed to!” Magiwa snapped.

Yuki sniffed absently and hung her head. Sakura chuckled lightly. She knew only a couple of people that could actually make Yuki back down. Nanashi sighed and jokingly patted Yuki on the back, getting a death glare in return from the older girl.

“Stay away from the ravine’s edge. The ground is unstable there, could give way at any moment.” Magiwa warned when Yuki looked over the edge.

Yuki looked up and stuck her tongue out at Magiwa. Before Sakura could make a comment, Blackclaw dropped from the sky and landed amongst them, scattering the girls. Sakura looked up in horror as some of the group attacked. Smugly, Blackclaw whipped his tail at them, knocking them well away from him. Sakura gulped and backed away while Blackclaw advanced toward her, jaws snapping greedily. Sakura kept backing up until she reached the edge. Before Blackclaw could lunge at her, the ground gave way beneath them, sending them both hurdling down the deep ravine. Blackclaw disappeared first into the yawning void. Something lunged at her from the side of the cliff. She looked closely and realized it was Sasuke. Sasuke wrapped his arm around her waist, using his free hand to get a grip on any rocky ledge. She wrapped her arms around his waist and held tightly. Sasuke poured his chakra into the effort and finally succeeded in getting a grip on a ledge. He chuckled slightly and looked down at Sakura, who looked at him wide-eyed.

“That first step is a dozy.” Sasuke commented.

He laughed when Sakura’s face flushed from embarrassment.

“Shut up…ââ⠚¬Â¦.” Sakura mumbled.

“Why did you come back and save me Sasuke?”

“I couldn’t stay away. I over heard the dragons saying they wanted to kill you…ââ⠚¬Â¦I didn’t want that to happen.”

“Why Sasuke?”

“Iââ⠀šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢m sorry if I hurt you Sakura. I’ve grown very fond of you.”

“GET TO THE POINT!!!!” Yuki yelled.

Sasuke glanced at the group and smirked when Magiwa smacked Yuki on the head to quiet her.

“Sakura, what I’m trying to say is, revenge doesn’t matter to me anymore. What I want desperately in my life is you.”

Sakura stared mutely at him. The look on his face was sincere.

“What about the dragons Sasuke. I thought you were one of them…ââ⠀šÂ¬Ã‚¦..†

“Forget them, forget revenge. I just want to be with you, whatever the cost. I’ll do anything for you.”

Sasuke removed the dragon’s pendent from his neck and held it by the chain for Sakura to see. Her eyes flickered to the pendent then to Sasuke’s face. She looked questionably to Sasuke’s emotionless eyes, trying to understand what he was thinking of. Sasuke smiled grimely at her then crushed the pendent in his hand. Everyone looked at him intently, wanting to see his next move. He released his tight grip as fragments fell to the ground.

“Looks like you finally completed you mission, eh Sakura?” Sasuke said.

Sakura stared at him wide-eyed in shock. Tears welded up in her eyes and she hugged him tightly. Sasuke returned her embrace with a slight smile on his part.

“You actually mean it?” Sakura whispered.

Chapter 13

Sasuke watched warily as they approached the gates of the Hidden Leaf. He could see people waiting by the gate, probably for them. He was really concerned when he saw one of them wearing an Anbu outfit. Sensing that Sasuke was worried, Sakura patted him on the back.

“Donâ⠂¬â„¢t worry Sasuke. They’re not going to do anything.”

“I hope your right.” Sasuke replied.

When they neared the gate, Sasuke could recognize each person waiting. Kakashi-sensei, Naruto, Tsunade, and what surprised him the most, Itachi, were all waiting.

“Welcome back girls. It seems as though the misssion went well.” Tsunade said while peering at Sasuke.

“It went really well Lady Hokage. He came back without a fight, all thanks to Sakura here.” Magiwa replied.

As Sakura talked to Tsunade, Sasuke looked around as the girls waved bye to each other and went into the village. Only Yuki and Magiwa stayed behind. Magiwa went over to stand by Kakashi, while Yuki tried unsuccessfully to sneak away from Itachi. He watched the silent fight between the two, seeing Itachi whisper something in Yuki’s ear as her face flushed a bright red. Sasuke turned to Naruto, who all along, had been glaring at him. Naruto narrowed his eyes then unsuspectingly held out his hand to Sasuke. It grew quiet, all eyes now on Sasuke and Naruto. Sasuke glanced around then cautiously shook hands with Naruto.

“Glad to have you back Sasuke.” Naruto growled.

“Nice to see you to Naruto…ââ ‚¬Â¦.â€Â  Sasuke replied.

“Just to warn you, I’ll kill you if you ever hurt Sakura in anyway. I don’t care what excuses you’ll have, just remember that I’ll kill you on the spot….ââ €šÂ¬Ã‚ Naruto growled hatefully.

Naruto walked away with everyone staring at him in shock. Yuki shook her head and looked up at Itachi.

“Told you so…ââ⠚¬Â¦Ã¢â‚¬Â She said softly.

Itachi nodded in reply and looked at Sasuke.

“Welcome back Sasuke. Don’t mind Naruto, he’s kinda…ââ €šÂ¬Ã‚¦Ã¢â‚¬Â upset right now. It would be best if you stayed away from him at the moment.”

“OkayÃ¢à ‚¬Â¦.†

“Now, we need to discuss were you’ll be staying for the time being…ââ €šÂ¬Ã‚¦.No Sakura, he can’t stay with you…ââ⠚¬Â Tsunade said watching Sakura sulk.

“I guess I’ll find something….â € Sasuke said sheepishly.

“I have a better idea. Your gonna stay at our place. That way, I can watch you.” Itachi replied.

Yuki glared at Itachi in obvious objection. Itachi brushed off her death glare and led Sasuke into the village. Yuki looked at Sakura in a ‘help me’ kind of way.

“What?âà ¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚ Sakura asked.

“If you want him that bad, do me a huge favor and take him. I can only stand one stubborn Uchiha. I don’t need another.” Yuki muttered.

“Well its your fault for marrying him…ââ⠚¬Â¦.I warned you about Itachi….Ã¢à ‚¬Â

Yuki stuck her tongue out and left, followed by everyone else. Itachi shoved open a door, revealing a hardly used guest bedroom. Sasuke looked at it in distaste then glared at Itachi.

“Welcome to your new home Sasuke.”

“You mean, welcome to this hell hole of a home.” Sasuke replied bluntly.

Itachi chuckled and left, leaving Sasuke all alone in the bland room. Sasuke sighed in irritation and threw himself on the bed.

“Well, at least its comfortableâ€¦à€¦.†‚ Sasuke muttered before drifting to sleep.

lol. I post fanfics on the NF. Mothman was reading one of them and saw a very disturbing pic of ItaSasu that one of my readers posted on the thread. It really was disturbing also.....

At long last.....a ****in' update.

Chapter 14

Days went by fast for Sasuke. He was reinstated as a ninja of the leaf, no longer having the rogue label on his name. But still, no one really accepted him in right away and he didn't mind. He damaged the trust he had with them a long time ago and now he had to earn it back, slowly but surely.

Sasuke sighed and leaned against the wall. As his new daily routine, he waited for Sakura to be on her lunch break that way they can go out to eat. He looked at the clock and and groaned. Finally, Sakura came up to him. Sasuke regarded her with a scowl and stood up.

"Your 20 minutes late Sakura......." He muttered.

"I'm so sorry Sasuke. I had to help with a surgery and things got a little hectic....."

"Ready to go finally then?"

"YES SASUKE."

"Were to this time? And if you say ramen shop, I'll kill myself."

Sakura smiled and poked him in the chest.

"Not the ramen shop Sasuke. I think you should have some decent home cooking for once."

She walked past him and he followed her, hands in his pockets in a bored manner.

"Home cooking? Great, food poisoning then......."

"My cooking isn't that bad Sasuke. Quit exaggerating."

"Tell that to the dead animals that ate from your garbage last week." Sasuke wickedly replied.

Sakura rolled her eyes and walked alittle faster. Sasuke smiled and kept up, teasing her was also a new routine of his.
