We will accept normal video's too, as long as they are creative.

I havent made an AMV yet but I have it all planned out in my head, its a One Piece one and I only have the eps in RealPlayer and MP4 format and only maker I knew of that takes those was Sony Vega and I only could get the trial and the trial wouldnt let you split of parts of the episodes and save them Like WMM does. So yeah that is why it never got made :(

Good because i make SI rants everyonce in awhile here and i might be doing voice acting with this one project on YT and I hope i get the job :D

I could suggest WMM for you. Trust me, it's pure magic. Maybe you should just try untill you can get a hold of a better program. Remember, it doesn't have to be an AMV. Any video will be accepted.

Later on, a poll will be added when we have around 20-25 video's in our archive. The best ones will be chosen by other SI members (and ourselves, lol).

I'll create a poll and notify you here when the time is ripe. :D

I never found any anime that could play on WMM. I use a program that came with my GoGear (a MP3) to make realplayer videos into Windows and workable to WMM.

I believe there are AVI-files of every anime available. You might want to search for a good RM-to-AVI converter too. I had one, but it kind of screwed up the sound, lol.

Thank you. I'm planning to make a NaruSasu AMV.
However, i think that would attract alot of flaming (pairing, since it's gay lol.)

Any opinions? The song would be: "Liquido - Narcotic". The setting would be VotE and not many effects would be used.
That's my style, not many effects, but raw emotions and decent sync. I love it when the characters are like "singing" the song.

Oh well, i'm ranting again lol. XD

I havent made an amv for a while, i've just taken a break but i'm gonna make sure i make an awesome amv during the holidays when i can work at my best, yorae will forever be my amv goddess, her kimimaro amv is freakishly amazing and her neji wa tara tribute is like an amv fan fic, u hav to see it xDxD So yea i wanna join, bronzepheonix is my editing idol, yorae is beyond me

are u using Windows Movie Maker?

there will be this thing called Audio Levels

The more you move the line to the left more sound comes from the video and if you move it to the right more sound comes from the audio

You might want to use a fade-out when the "SaiyanIsland Directors" text comes out. The sound stopped pretty abrupt.

i found a easier way to get rid of the sound theres a little box next to video on the timeline. click it and another audio timeline will come up. right click and mute it and its done. i just made 2 intros but the first one is better

You'll need Sony Vegas for that...you can get it the legal, and expensive way, or the way that most other ppl do, the illegal way.

But yeah, you'll definatly need SV...and then about a month of practice...i just started learning stuff yesterday, it's a long process.

I didn't go too much into the effects with SV, since I just started using it, but it seems good enough to me, but I think your WMM is better since you know how to use the effects well.

Actually i don't know how to use the effects that well i only made 2 amv's with the extra effects

Yeah, the next step is the effects, it was a ***** to make, all of that clip cutting....but I still yours is better at the moment....but i'll put up a good one soon enough.

There is a way to fix that, since its an .avi file, you have to download the .avi codec for your comp. Google it.

BTW! The effects have been added to my opening, and its starting to upload in Youtube as I type this.

yeah, but not all of them fit with everything. Flash is one of the most common, and it works best with a song that has a easy-to-follow beat, like the song i'm using, which is the reason for lack of effects.

I loved everyone of them. Ewok surprised me, Sasuke Uchiha's is awesome, NaruHina's is pretty cool, Evil-Garra is doing a good job, but needs more material and dbznarutofreak's is pretty cool too.

Sasuke Uchiha impressed me with the awesome effects and the correct use of them. Looks like it's made by a pro.

And last, but not least dbznarutofreak used an awesome song that is also used in the Naruto Shippuuden intro's (the latest one). Good choice!

Some constructive critisizm:

Try to make your text a little better. I suggest using one of the Vista fonts for a smooth, clean look. Don't be afraid to use black and white! Try to use effects and sync your movie files accordingly. Great job everyone!

I'll be making mine tomorrow, as i have little or no time left for today.

I do not consider myself an expert. My best one is Eminem - Toy soldiers and Linkin Park - What i've done.

A tribute to South Park, and a Tribute to Goku and Gohan from DragonballZ.
I'm afraid of making an AMV for Naruto, because i want it to be perfect.

i copy the code into notepad. save it into everything they say the addon whatever and save it, but they say save it as an xml and i dont know how to do that! i really want a flashing effect like dbzfreak had.

just put .xml at the end of the title when you're saving

In Case anyone wanted an update on my two projects:

Sony Vegas Project: About 8-10 Seconds Done

Windows Movie Maker Project: Still getting new Effects, Song and Anime Undecided, any ideas?

hmm, thats tough, picking a song to use can take forever for me and even after i've picked one, i can later on just decide to go with another one, its quite troublesome sometimes but once ur done, good results will make u realize that it was definetely worth it, i'm using the song time's scar for my current amv, it makes for an epic amv if u get it right xD

Hey to all of you that have Windows Movie Maker, I have the hardest transition to use but works well when mastered:

Bluescreen:Put between two clips. Whatever is blue in the second clip will be replaced with parts of the first clip.
