DBGT fail or success?

Would you say DBGT was good or not? Why or why not? Failure or success? In my opinion it wasnt that bad, just the fighting itself (the part that matters) was done really poorly...

I think it was cool.....because see the characters have matured and although goku becomes a kid, it's still interesting. One thing more the animation was very good, the characters did look more realistic

I liked it... but not nearly as much as Dragonball and DBZ.... It was missing something to me.... Overall it is a Succfail..... wat that sounds mean.... It was both a failure and a success..... weird huh...?

Not exactly, it was kinda missing things such as some of the z-fighters, that thing is very disappointing, so yes, it is succfail

DBGT failed.It just wasn't the same as DBZ or DB.

Of all the series DBZ was the best. It stayed in line, and it wasn't confusing. The fights were entertaining and something new would happen every now and then. GT is okay, but its way too confusing, and too many new things happening in it. In some areas, the fights were good, but in other areas, the fights would be pointless and wouldn't match the story. If I had to rate it:
5.4/10 :)

hi, i'm from germany and here it was a failure because all look forward to see dbgt and after 5 years -.- it came on tv. so far so good. but: the cut the episodes :eek: and they didn't show 13 of 64 episodes at all. i mean, what the hell?! and the same they do with all good animes like naruto. i have to watch the original if i have time. that sucks. really

yes but in the past it wasn't like that. they didn't have cut db which is more brutal than dbgt in my opinion. i don't know why they suddenly do that.
how is your syncronisation? i think our speakers are good but sometimes it is nonsense what they say e.g. for "he has kill him" they said "he has kidnapped him" or "he is disappeared"... but anyway i watch it o.o :laugh:

I'd rate it a 6 or a 7 myself. I mean, the plot was about as good as DBZ ever was (actually I liked it better) but the fighting just wasnt at all as good as it should be..tho maybe I'm just used to being spoiled by DBZ. lol still, same series (sorta), so thats no excuse.

Actually he did for the first 13 episodes when it was meant to be just for humor, but then he realised he didnt like the show and stopped, and about when he left it started being about action like DBZ, which is likely why it wasnt that good, the team was more used to humor episodes than action ones and they couldn't afford to switch teams...and when the first 13 weren't as popular, they decided to skip them when they aired on CN and then go back and show them later as 'lost episodes' ala what it was really called 'the black star dragonballs saga', even though in japan it was too late because they'd already shown them in order their...then the show was scheduled to be canceled some point during the super 17 saga (from what I've gathered) so they shortend it and tried to save the show during the shadow dragon saga, and it ended after that saga was over. They tried to revive it with a TV Special, but it blew.

To much of the story did not make sense. Many characters are ignored, and their isn't anything very new. I've always been annoyed with Gohan because he was one of my favorite characters when he was a kid, but they made him so weak. It is sad when the only characters strong enough to make a difference in a fight is Vegeta and Goku. Their is also to much repetition in the show. It had some good things in it, but not enough for it to be considered at the same level as DB and DBZ.

Ah i must have forgotten. Either way though Gohan still was powered down in GT and for some reason he lost his special kai powers.

He didn't lost the powers, actually he stopped training, when he defeats cell he was strongest fighter at that time, but because after that he was busy in studies goku became stronger then him because he trained, so in actual in GT gohan was busy with other things

not to mention the power gaps.... i know picolo and the original earthlings gave up fighting but sayians werent supose to become a weaklinks... for instance gohan who was as strong as goku super saiyan 3, not to talk about trunks and goten who actualy should progress very much since they both turned into super saiyan since they were 6-7 years old.... and vegeta darn it he was completly ignored at dbgt...

also the most characters at dbgt were ignored, i mean how could they ignore krilin and picolo who always were so close friends to goku and gohan....

to be honest when i first heard of gt i was really excited but when i started watching i was badly disappointed, it was a complete failure. i would give 1 out of 10 as a mark...

to be honest the all db gt story was messed up, and i completly disliked the very ending, why couldnt they drink some elexier like master roshi did, which made him live for ever...but instead they got old and died....i still couldnt get how could the they all die :( it really sux..

well i would say vegeta was a weaklink untill he reached the ss4 by bulma's help, he couldnt reach even ss3 by himself...i wish the humans and picolo could reach new lvl on new db season if there ever will be one, like becoming a super human/namekian with equal strenght as ss3 or ss4 :D that would be fun though :> super earthling :D

well about power lvl gaps gt was really buged, nothing was right on the battle... and the fights were quite lame... lets remember the movie "cooler revenge the first movie" when goku throw him to the sun and he survived but the "baby" at db gt couldnt (even the baby was many times stronger than lame frieza brother) when goku hit him with his 20times kamehameha :D really the dbgt was all messed up ><

It was...alright ill say! I would take DBZ over GT any day but GT had its moments! I kinda really enjoyed the Super 17 saga the most.

But overall, id only give it a 6/10. It just didnt have that "something" like DBZ did...at least not in my eyes anyway!

You guys dont give credit where it is due. The guy who created baby went to hell, where he met Gero and helped make Super 17. Makes sense. Then he died. Then after that, all the negative energy from the whole series caused the dragonballs to crack and bring about the shadow dragons...sounds like as good as most dbz plot to me. But I do think that the fighting shoulda been done better...

Yep yep yep! I don't like it or watch it because the colors are somehow uglier than the previous series, the color? Too dark! It's fun to see Goku small again, but I wished he has all orange clothes again. Trunks was cooler with the sword, or did he get it in GT?- I know he did in the 13th Movie! Trunk's new outfit in GT makes him look like he can't fight.

Dragonball GT was a major fail. It made so sense to me what so ever. It was just simply terrible and we all know it.
