View Full Version : Browser problems; or the server?

I've been using three different browsers now,
Opera 7.0 beta
Mozilla firefox 3.1 beta
and Internet explorer 8.0 beta
Now, i have been experiencing some strange problems while using all three browsers. I cannot view the page sometimes, and it loads extremely slow everytime. It usually takes me2 minutes to find new posts, or load any other page located on Saiyanisland.
I have been on other websites/forums too, and most of the time i enjoyed a nice, constant refreshing rate. However, on Narutoforums, i also experienced this problem. Is it because of the many guests that roam this place? Or is it just me? I think it's highly impossible that's it my internet connection. Even though i work wireless, i have a constant downloading speed of 700-900 KB/second.
My questions are:
Have you experienced problems like these before?
Are you still experiencing them?
And if you fixed it, what did you do exactly?
Thank you for your time.

It's useless. I tried every browser, and every website works properly but this one. It has to be the guests.

yes sometimes now that u mention it but sticks and pages take long to refresh but i tink that happens with me like when there are a lotta of ppl on mainly the guest so like now it will function properly but then again i do run other programs while on SI so it could be that 2 but prolly u should delete your cookies and temp internet files and c if that helps.

Thats why I think we should make the forums have a limite of quests that can come on so we dont have to shut down all the time.

Yeah but when the server crashes most of the time (long cat doesnt count :p ) Its because we have like 1000 guests on.
Even if you not on do you know when we have server crashes

I've read somewhere, that it's stoopid to have more than one. Each has different settings and each are looking in the same folders, tryna save seperate data and fighting over who's got the most clout to work. Maybe each are having a hard time reading what each are saving etc. I'd pick one and remove the other 2. But it could be all of the above. Your browsers can have trouble fighting eachother (for flash players I had 3 installed and I couldn't watch any vids cuz of it, they were all clashing and I was getting NO results in the end) and the server CAN be fast therefore making your browser problems worse. And High speed cable has a major flaw right from the start, yes it is FAST, but only to a point. the more people around you that have the exact same connection ISP whatever and are using at the same time. the slower the connection. DSL on the other hand does NOT have that problem. U could have 1 million cpu's in your house all using up bandwidth and it would not slow down one bit. but ye, ramble , ramble bla , bla. I'd remove 2 of the browsers and check out what's the busiest slowest time next time here and on ur local ISP provider.

Thanks, i'll try it out. It started when i installed IE8, so yes... That could have caused the problem.
