If the younger kids found out that Naruto was still on only at a later time, they might get into AS. Pretty soon, they will be watching all the shows asking their mothers what certain words are. >.>

I really don't see them putting Naruto on AS. As many other people have said, it's not a smart marketing move. I think they'll edit it but not to the point where it's One Peice edit bad. They may introduce curse words since they're older, but only words like hell or damnit. Maybe *****....but I doubt it. And certainly not **** because, c'mon, no show has that.

I think Shippuden will be as bad as we think the American Naruto is now. We have somthing to compare it to, which makes us biased and be nit picky about everything. That's why most of us will just stick to watching the Japanese run of Naruto. For kids and preteens in America who only know and watch the American Naruto, they won't have any major problems with it because they have nothing to compare it to. It's all they know. Sure once they get older and realize there is a Japanese version they will get upset at all that they missed because of edits, but they'll be biased towards the American Naruto since it's what they believe is the original.

Some kids may even watch the entire series in English, love it, then start watching it in Japanese and then think the English version was terrible. That's how I was with Dragonball.

as long as they don't talk to me, i don't care what they do. i'll lean up against a pole at a bookstore and read Naruto (pole's real close to the shelf with Naruto books) and this one day, some dude and his girlfriend were arguing loudly about manga or something and then the dude was all like, "Now she's (talking about me) paying attention to her manga." and i was like, wtf. and then this kid came up, she was like 5 or 6 and she was all "OHHHH!!! lol I hated the fact that they made fun of Naruto in those episodes of X-Play... but you have to admit, it was funny as hell (at least to me =P). And yes, Naruto does have a catchphrase in the manga: "Dattebayo!"

I don't really know whether or not Naruto would be on Adult Swim... I'd prefer it to be there but Naruto is probably the best thing for Toonami right now. If they switched it to Adult Swim for Shippuuden, then it would only be because they either have a show that they think might do as good or better than Naruto did to replace it on that block, or they decide to completely get rid of Toonami.

No it wouldn't, first off it wouldn't be a smart marketing move. Naruto the whole series itself should stick to toonami. It's already getting high ratings from the kids that watch it, so I don't believe switching it to Adult Swim would help it any better. And if they did, the kids would start watching Adult Swim..... which would be very bad because Adult Swim already has a lot of content not suitable for kids. I think Naruto Shippuuden should be hosted on Adult Swim with a new voice cast.

Reasons:

1. They won't give Naruto the catch phrase believe it. AS tries to keep close to the original as possible. [[From what I've seen on the AS shows.]]

2. Most people who like Shippuuden already watch AS. There won't be much of a problem with the switch.

3. A new voice cast will probably get more people.

4. AS won't cut out the blood or cursing. Well, if it's a major curse word, then they might edit it.

The dubbing of Shippuden will start in the fall. Yuri Lowental (voice of Sauske) stated that they will begin doing Shippuden in the fall at Otakon and we do not have to suffer the filler much longer.
Cartoon network will obviously Keep Naruto because of the revenue they are making. As for adult swim, they will probably state it will very likely it will be on adult swim because it does not fit the criteria of a children program in America due to blood violence and lack of morals values. but they already know tons of kids watch it anyways. so it is good for business.
it it is not on adult swim they will probably kill it like 4 Kids butchered One Piece.
So under that logic it is highly likely, almost absolute it may be on adult swim like the current Naruto series

People, thier's a really good chance they are not going to put Naruto Shippuuden on Adult Swim. Naruto on toonami is already getting good ratings as it is. A couple of shows been transferred from Toonami to Adult Swim such as OutLaw Star and Big O... why? Because they didn't hit high ratings like how DBZ did. And TV is all about buisness and ratings, not necessarily what the fans want. So their's no reason to put on Adult Swim, besides a couple of mature content. Plus if they did put it on Adult Swim, little kids are going to be watching it.(because after all, they wouldn't be happy with the Naruto Part 1 ending, so they would want to watch). And if little kids are going to be watching it, their will be controversy with the parents who do care about what the children are watching on TV (which I have to give Kudos to parents who do care about what kids watch these days). And if little kids are going to be watching Adult Swim, they're gonna have to change many of the shows on it. (such as taking out certain shows so kids wouldn't want them). That also means Adult Swim wouldn't be adult swim anymore.

So you see, its just a lot easier on Cartoon Network to put it on Toonami rather than Adult Swim.

And Plus you guys, Naruto Shit-Poop-In sucks anyways. Crappy animation and action scenes (The Sakura And Chiyo vs. Sasori puppets fight is an exception), extremely slow paced, and Naruto saying repetitive lines such as to Diedara when Gaara was inside his owl "Give back Gaara!" or even "I'll Sasuke come back!'. Seriously, just stick to the manga. Filler free and its 100 times better.

They announced that recording would start in, I believe, October, so we should be getting our first few episodes in late winter/early spring.

I think Shippuden will be as bad as we think the American Naruto is now. We have somthing to compare it to, which makes us biased and be nit picky about everything. That's why most of us will just stick to watching the Japanese run of Naruto. For kids and preteens in America who only know and watch the American Naruto, they won't have any major problems with it because they have nothing to compare it to. It's all they know. Sure once they get older and realize there is a Japanese version they will get upset at all that they missed because of edits, but they'll be biased towards the American Naruto since it's what they believe is the original.

Some kids may even watch the entire series in English, love it, then start watching it in Japanese and then think the English version was terrible. That's how I was with Dragonball.

Remember the "first edition" of the english Naruto on Toonami? It had blood and all the good stuff. It was when it went back to the beginning that the censored eps began.

Many of my friends are anime fans, and Naruto was Teh Shit. However, after the censored eps started airing, like, none of my friends like it anymore -sadface-

If they decide to do it on Toonami, it'll be marred beyond repair, and it doesn't matter if you have a great fanbase, if the show sucks, you'll lose viewers and ratings. Hopefully CN has realized this. And think about it: Naruto is really the only thing keeping Toonami going. Why do you think half of the block is Naruto? I think they'll just kill Toonami and give it to AS.

They can pull it off, putting Shippuuden on Cartoon Network, but there probably would be less violence in the show. Shippuuden is much more violent , but not as bad as Bleach.

yes it is its been confirmed for 2009 i have the newest collectors edition and it says that naruto will be coming in 2009 it didnt give me the exact date though but it did show pics from the anime.
