I don't think Sora will return, but it completely up to the creator to put back in either in another filler or not. Those it was fun seeing him turning into the 4 tail copy cat of Naruto.:nod:

i didn't really mind the original fillers from the first part of naruto, but the one with Sora was just plain terrible....it was written and presented so poorly that I actually struggled to watch the episodes each week........if they do fillers, they should at least make it interesting and meaningful ....it seemed this filler was just to familiarise the audience with nature elements in chakra which to be honest isn't even confusing or hard to understand, it was such a waste of time.....and sora is by far the worst anime character to ever be made......

if they do another filler, leave Sora out of it and bring back "the curry of life" XD

Sora was basically a cross between Naruto and Sasuke: a Jinchuuriki with a major whining problem. Review his story: Father died when he has very young, surrounded his whole life by people who disapproved of him, has the Kyuubi's chakra sealed inside, has wind-natured chakra... Sound familiar?

Besides, the whole purpose of that arc was to flesh out the character and background of Asuma a bit before they kill him off :(. Sora was annoying from start to finish with his refusal to calm down and not hate everything.

I think the monk who told Tsunade about the destruction of the Fire Temple said that all the bodies except for Chiriku's were accounted for. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Sora is dead, and even if he isn't (which he should be), nobody wants to see that Naruto-cloning-Sasuke-whining-plot-dragging loser ever again.

Sora was only filler, so no. He'd only come back in another filler, and really. We don't need anymore filler. Even though I'm PRETTY SURE we'll get it, because the Anime and Manga, honestly, if you think about it the right way... are getting pretty close. ESPECIALLY with the Manga Hiatus now. The Manga's on break, and the Anime's just catching up even more to it. Chances are, we'll get more filler, but probably not Sora. And then Naruto's gonna make a new filler friend and never see said filler friend again. :)
