Well basically its about a website called hell corespondence and you can only access it at midnight. And when u type in the name of someone you want to take revenge on, Jigoku Shoujo(Hell Girl) will come to you and give you a straw doll and if you wish to take revenge you may pull the red string around its neck. But if you pull the string two graves appear as you curse a person. You also make a covenant with Hell Girl. Anyways... Once you pull the string the person you are taking revenge on their soul will be ferried into hell. But when you die your soul will be sent to hell. left to wander through pain and sufforing for all eternity.

That basically covers the basics. But In each episode there is a new person seeking revenge.

This has been a favorite anime of mine for a long time! I love Kikuri and I love Enma Ai.

What is Jigoku Shoujo you wanderers?

It is an anime/manga based on a website that is accessed at midnight that will accept any pending revenge. When you curse someone, they will be ferry to hell by yours truly, Enma Ai (Jigoku Shoujo). Although, here is the catch, after death, there is another grave ready to be buried for the person who wanted revenge in hell. It also leaves some knowledge of Japan and along with its history.

Besides Death Note, Hell Girl is my favorite anime. This is one of the few series where I actually prefer the anime over the manga.
Ai had a pretty f***ed up childhood, but her story is very interesting.

Well i sometimes used to watch this anime. I used to watch it in english so i;m unaware about the japanese name. It really used to freak me out. It was so scary, (at least for me) the consequences of the sinners used ot be horrible really.

Anyways my question is whether anyone else watched this freakish anime or not? Does anyone even know about it?
