llol i was just saying since i get stupid responses lk that but yea i really don't like naruto n think its very overrated, i read up to the start of shippuden and did not like it sure the fighting is cool but wheres the substance i want to know what so good about it and maybe some diehard fans can show me something there that i have not seen

What draws me in most anime/manga are characters that I can relate to or admire.

It's either that, or I'm interested in a certain anime/manga because it has tons of action, comedy, great plot twists, or a combination of all of those.

In Naruto's case, all of those factors are there. I can relate to some of the characters, it has its humorous moments, there's a decent amount of action, and there's been a few good plot twists or two.

I tune in to find what happens next, because it's the type of show where anything can happen.

Because in this anime the fights are so down to earth, and when it comes to knowledge in a battle, the ninjas in this show are the best at it. When you think you've got it figured out they pull off something that make you say;
"OHHHHH no way!" :D

But yeah, the ninjas act upon themselves like ACTUAL ninjas! And it shows how tough the life of a ninja really is and what it takes inside the Ninja World. The paths you have to take, the sacrifices, the oaths, the price you have to pay and the costs you have to pay to get through your life as a shinobi.

Because Naruto is the best thing to happen to the world since duck tape. I enjoy the characters and their variety of personalities, the underlying motives to actions, the twists and turns in the plot, watching the characters grow and change.

Whether you like Naruto or not, that depends on what type of anime/manga.
Your question is just... no offense, but I think it is stupid. I like it because the story is pretty good and I've been reading it for years now.

You might as well ask why people love DBZ, One Piece, Bleach, and so on.

IMO, it's just the fact that it's ninjas fighting each other to the death. If it wouldn't for the fact they were ninjas, I wouldn't read naruto.
