no disrespect 4 da U.S team but if they play like they did in 06 then there's no way they'll ever take da world cup. they didnt even make farther than china did. china is good enough 2 make it in da world cup but 4 some reason they jus cant deliver. U.S has da potential but it got decimated. they didnt even win ONCE. but like i said its anybody's game. n yeah mexico has a long way 2 go but if they play jus a lil bit better than they did in 06 then they will take it.

ur right about spain in 2006 .they have been the perennial chokers.they won for the first time after44 years in euro 08 this year.their first major win and they have a very good team so i think we can expect some spanish fireworks :d.but i hope mexico can make it too since u like them so much.

By the way, anbukakashi, you know what was my favorite game at WC-2006, you'll never guess, Argentina-Mexico. Super dynamic and beautifull game, the Maxi Rodriguez's goal (a winning for Argentina) in this match - is a masterpiece. Also I like Mexico at wc-2002, when Blanko was in good form, I liked his trick when we places the ball between legs and jums with it over defenders. Mexico was a great team in the past, and they got potential, but they'll not be ready for 2010, I guess they will make it to the play-off, but not further.
I think Latvia has prety good chances though...

Juan Roman Riquelme and Pablo Aimar are my favorite argentinian midfieldres. Riquelme was the best for argentina at wc-2002. That team was so great, Sorin, Ayala, Samuel, Aimar, Riquelme, Veron, Simeone, Claudio Lopez, Crespo, Javier Saviola, Gabriel Batistuta. Too bad they put such a misery at 2002 wc. But I like that version of Argentina more than the present one. I can only add Messi and Tevez, actually I like Tevez more than Messi for his super dribling and activity.
Argentina showed the most beutifull play in wc06, not only me, most of the people thinks so. There were many cool goals. The best was Maxi Rodrigues's long curving shot I mentioned. I remember that the first goal in the game with mexico was also very beautifull... yes I remember there where a super combination... but don't remeber it clearly. No... I am lying... Ayala scored the first goal with the header after corner. Don't remember 16 pass goal at the group stage, what was it?

We were watching it with dad back then, I have watched the replays so many times, that was awesome, magnifercento. All the newspapers had this goal on the covers next day. The whole match was a goal festival.
