Can Gaara Still Do Sand Manipulation?

i been wondering can gaara still do sand manipulation or not cuz i know the shukaku was taken out and that was his main attack and defence but now with it out can he still do sand coffin and that thing where he wraps sand around him and make a huge cacoon of sand around him?

All he needs to do is mould his chakra in his sand. It may not be as powerful as it used to be, but he still can.

i wanna see what gaara can do now without the shukaku, he had alotta time to practice, so if he still able to do sand manipulation, im sure its atleast as strong as he was when he was at the chunnin exams if not stronger, but without shukaku he lost alot of power and prolly all of his cocky attitude

gaara never used the shukaku's power only during the chunin exams, think about naruto, he's not always using the kyuubi's power, except when he's angry and it happens subconciously(althought gaara's never that angry), he only calls on the kyuubi's power when he needs it, he's not using it 27/7. im sure gaara can still manipulate sand, I think he's still exactly the same

No they are not Gaara is still the most powerful Sand Shinobi. Because every person with a Bijuu inside of them has the Bijuu's chakra become part of their own, one the reason why most People like Naruto & Gaara have large amounts of Chakra, along with it they gain several traits of the Bijuu's like Gaara Insomnia & Naruto wisker-thingies(lol). But since Gaara lost his he'll still be able to manipulate the Sand around him and in his Gord but he lots the Sand's Automatic Protection from harm so no more, Sand Shield unless he uses his own chakra from on. So in truth he only lost the Bijuu but gain the ability to sleep at night:p :sand2:

Yes he can.he used sand manipulation to shake hands with Naruto. And come to think of it, the 3rd kazekage can do sand manipulation without any bijuu.So gaara can still do sand manipulation but he will have a hard time on doing it because he doesn't have enormous amount of chakra anymore and he will have limited amount of chakra.

well everyone has an opinion so heres mine...I think gaara can still do sand manipulation and if you're thinking wat i am thinking ull know why just look at it like kankuro and all the puppet users they feed chakra into the puppets and control them to use in fighting which is just like gaara's sand manipulation in the sense that he uses/feeds his chakra(which ik he has less of now but thats not the point) into the sand and controls it just like puppeteers do.Thats why i beleive he can still use sand manipulation:)

he does, because the sand is combined with his chakra still so he can control it even though Shukaku is gone.:nod: But he has no ultimate defense anymoar.

For the defense, he didn't have to use chakra to defend himself with the sand. Maybe to attack but not to defend.

He can still defend himself but he's gonna have to use chakra and has to concentrate. When he had the Shukaku, the sand acted on it's own to defend Gaara. He didn't have to use chakra.

yes it may be true that sand had gone around naruto's hand yet im sure it was not garra's doing. i mean really first of all garra has never shown such little use of his ability. plus there was wind blowing. it was just a dramatic scene

wow that's funny. garra didn't depend on shukaku's chakra in order to manipulate sand. instead garra would use his own chakra. shukaku's power was only deployed when shukaku tried to take control, some one forced it out (other then garra), and finally in moments of emotional distress or excitement such as in the chuunin exam when garra enjoyed seeing blood-shed

As some have stated, all that was lost was his absolute defense, he still has the ability to manipulate sand, also he has other defenses with sand, as seen when lee got around his absolute defense, and gaara had made a suit of armor using sand, but it consumes alot of chakra. I think that he still has a huge chakra reserve, as all biju do, once the bijuu are inside a host, their chakra begin to slowly merge, thus their ability to transform, or to use the chakra of there bijuu, now since his bijuu was removed, his chakra is not steadily getting stronger on its own, but by now, gaara still has good reserves, and that can be taken higher through training, which im sure he does now. I bet the next time we see gaara in action, he will be even more powerful, because he is now working hard to become even stronger as kazekage, with no bijuu.
