I know. I agree with you. They would probably kill themselves if they DIDN'T have their music. Most of the emo people that I know said that their lives were saved because of the music and the artists who sing the songs.

I dont mind if they band emo music, it's cuz of bands like "The Cure" fault that ppl are emos. Emo's should enjoy life and not hate it. If they don't have anything to do then cutting them self then they should get out and go on a quest for findind happiness.

A few tips on how to find happiness or get ur life on track:

Find someone (which is not an emo) and share ur life with.

Get a religion.

Start wearing colorful clothes.

Try getting ur dream job.

If u think ur life sucks cuz of maybe ur dad drinks or u get picked on school then go out and ask a homeless guy on how his life got screwed or how his life is and compare it with urs

It's not 'The Cure''s or any bands fault that people are emos. Emos choose to be emos. They don't just start listening to a band and begin a journey to being a high school stereotype. Banning music is taking away a right, a freedom. Nobody should be able to do that. And getting a boyfriend/g1rlfriend, wearing different clothes, or getting a religion cannot get somebodies life on track. If they were depressed there's a much deeper reason than what clothes someone wears and all. I was once an emo (although I called myself ). In short, I was just a poser. I wasn't really depressed, I faked it because I felt I didn't belong anywhere and it seemed cool. It's not the musics fault.

Anyways, I don't think you are in any position to give a "few tips on how to find happiness or get ur life on track". You don't know people's problems and I'm sure you don't know how to solve them even if you did. Getting a religion is not a very good 'suggestion' for emo's to get their lives back on track. Everyone's got a cross to bear. Emo kids claim to be sad for their won reason. Everyone has a reason to be sad or depressed. It's life. There's not a person on the planet who can say their life has gone without problems or sufferings. It's all about how people handle it. One of my father's friends is a 'Nam vet. and saw tens of his comrades die beside him, many including his best friend. But you wouldn't be able to tell, he's a very funny guy. He knows that being sad and depressed over it won't help him or anyone else. And that's exactly the opposite of the message that 'Emo Music' delivers. Banning it may be a little extreme, but it's only for the better.
