Live Action Anime Movies in Our Future?

We all know that a live action Dragon Ball movie is coming to the big screen soon. But did you know Viz Media, the good people behind some of your favorite anime including Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, and Death Note, are planning to make live action movies (http://saiyanisland.com/?subaction=showfull&id=1216785870)?

There is already a Death Note movie - two of them actually - with the first one coming to DVD on September 16th and the second one to most likely follow in the USA, but those were originally made for the Japanese audience. Based on Viz's press release it seems like the movies they plan to make are more so targeted for a world-wide audience.

Aside from Death Note, I think Bleach would be the best pick (http://forums.saiyanisland.com/showpost.php?p=40498&postcount=8), out of the anime and manga I've seen in Viz Media's collection.

Which anime or manga do you guys think would be the best to create a live action version of? And, just being curious, why would you pick it?

Naruto would be a great live action movie.

Bleach,then Naruto,then Inuyasha...Is the order of the easier movies for the special effects...The special effects would have to be pretty advanced for all of them and it would be pretty hard for Inuyasha because of his dog ears...and all the other demons.

I hope we hav a bleach one... it's best fitted for things like that.... an inuyasha one will be okay though in my opinion...

Bleach for the reasons Saiyan said but what about FULL METAL ALCHEMIST!!! OMG! That would be freaking bad ass...

It has the perfect set up for a win! Engaging storyline that can catch an American audience with the talk about firearms and war and w/e and normal looking charcaters. Ed is a normal human with a normal hair style and Al is a freaking robot that can even be easily be cosplayed... and all those General's are normal looking people. Only some of the Homunculi and other villians are wierd looking, but they aren't anything a little CGI can't take care of..

lol... Naruto would be the worst to make if Viz wants to be close to the anime... but it would be the perfect cash cow because we'll all go see it no matter how much it sucks :nervous:

lol...ya it would!! every1 has ultra big eyes, different color hair, wierd ass clothes. i never seen a decent naruto cosplay...they would have to totally change the characters to make it cause imagine a bunch of little kids running around in wigs... u know how dumb that would look...lol?

Full Metal Alchemist is THE best choice for this kind of thing for the reasons i said in my other post and also because it has tons of fans like naruto... :niceguy:

And I definitely wouldn't waste my money to see a live-action movie of Naruto.

Bleach already has a musical. :laugh: I don't think they'd be too good, and if they were good they'd never live up to what the fans wanted. We'll have to see with the DBZ movie.

The Dragonball movie is gonna be in english its got the kid from war of the worlds as Goku, i hope they dont make a Cowboy bebop movie.

Plans have gone ahead to make an Akira Live Action movie in 2 parts, and i know the director he use to live in the UK, he has only done adverts before though but he is good, the bad news is that its supposed to be set in neo-american not neo tokyo which will freaking suck donkey balls. Leonardo De Caprio is supposed to be staring and Co-producing. Iv always been a massive Akira anime/manga fan and hope they dont screw it up.

You must never seen the guy in Japan who
cosplays Gaara and matches the look 100%,
its actually scarey lol.

Naruto could only look right if the right japanese
cast played them. Honestly I think they would
mess it up, like they did with the Dragonball
movie. Tho I think if they tried HARDER on
these movies, more would like them...

hollywood is out of ideas so they gotta go to the land of the rising sun...if they can pull off some solid movies and not botch it we all are set!
