It was the anime that got me into anime...I loved it with a burning passion...
Chaoctic Century was good, but eh.
Guardian force (When tehy were older..in america its also called Chaotic century) I loved!!!
New Century Zero was the first one to release in america, and I loved it! Liger Zero Shcnieder was cool and bit was funny..and it was the first time I saw anything like Leena!! (later I saw DBZ and saw Bulma..XD)
Fuzors was sadly lacking, but I wish it had finished its english run cuz I liked it.
And Genesis looks good..haven't seen it yet tho >.< and dont know where to >.<
btW: Raven and Shadow were sooo awesome (if you know who I mean)

I like the first and second season of zoids..... giant robot animal things fighting each other is cool... :laugh: that show takes me back... good times... gooood times....

at least you liked it! I've not gotten hardly any replies...lol Its sad, cuz I think it was friggin awesome, it was my first anime that I obsessed over, and I still to this day know alot about it.
i loved it!!!i even still have an action figure for the lion....my favorite was the raptor.....

Not to be rude or anything but ther were no lions, they were Ligers..a lion and tiger mixed, which later after I watched it, I've since seen that they really do exsist. Its male lion with female tiger. As opposed to a Tigon, which is Male Tiger, female Lion.

they all look like animals....so he was a heshe?????whatever....i used to watch it when i was like 6 so i wouldnt remeber anything........:(

Nooooooo its more like a liger's MOM is a Tiger and its DAD is a Lion, but its not a he-she..lol and Zoids arn't created the same way as animals so I'm not really sure what to say on that lol

well i dont exactly remember clearly since i was like 6 but....my favorite zoids was the one like the raptor that had the big gun-beam thingy.........my fav character????hmmm....dont really remember.......

wow you must be like young then...I was like 11 at the youngest. LOL I'm 19 now tho, so yeah. lol You mean the Geno Saurer or Geno Breaker I assume. (I assume the first) and yeah, it was pretty cool. I like Raven and Shadow alot myself. My favorite zoid tho...thats a tough one...I'd say the Geno Breaker!

yeap it was awesome how they beat evryone until they got up to liger(thats what happened i think).......

1st season of which series? The first one had two 'seasons' in american dub..altho in Japanese Dub thats two series, the second one being them older...which in america was just merged as a second season... Then their are 1 other series after that which was set many years later...then after that they made two new serieses unrelated to the other ones (or each other) called Fuzors and Genesis... and each of these 3 had new characters! Not only that, but america had the Third series releas in america first, then the 1st and 2nd merge into one and just called two seasons..then Fuzors..and it was never finished in american dub...and then there was Genesis which was never released in america at all... so which one do you mean?

Zoids was the best thing on Tv in its time. Sigh so much memories, come to think of it. I'm gnna download the epidsodes of the first season, i prefer it over chaotic century.

Thats the 3rd season your speaking of! The 1st and 2nd were Chaotic Century. (altho in Japan they called the 2nd season Guardian Force, american dub calls it all Chaotic Century...including the 2nd Season..Guardian Force is my fav...my 2nd fav is New Century/Zero..Bit is hilarious..and Fuzors was cool, just coulda been better..and Genesis..the new one...meh..so far it looks far too cheesy. Besides, its a seperate series unconnected to the other ones...Fuzors might be, but in theory it could take place after New Century/Zero..why not? New Century/Zero is set many years after Guardian Force so it could happen..)

I've seen a few episodes but couldn't really get into it. No offense intended but it seemed to kind of "borrow" off Voltron and Gundam in a few ways. Those were so classic to me it was hard to watch Zoids with any intense interest. Cool graphics/animation though.

Zoids was one of my first anime (Voltron my first ever) and honestly, it didnt borrow from them IMO, they are really different IMO, and whether they did or not, the show was still a classic for me.
Chaotic Century and Guardian force was pure classic with its war that the toyline was known for.
New Century/Zero was great with its Zoid battles, and ironicly, later on Gundam created G Gundam..coincidence? Or not?
Fuzors was cheesy in some areas and wasnt as good as it shoulda been, but I liked it overall.
Genesis looks kinda like its poo. But it might not be too bad, just dont expect it to have anything to do with the other serieses.

I love Zoids, it was sad that Fuzors was cancelled tho. Tho Zoids have some pretty epic battles. ^__^

But I'm more a fan of SEED (not SEED Destiny) anyway.
And I don't mean that anything specific was borrowed, just certain concepts from both Voltron and Gundam in general. Either way the next battle suit/zoid concept should try and come up with something entirely new and unique. The current concepts are almost 30 years old!

Are those the Japanese or english air dates? And if I'm incorrect then forgive me, I was wrong. It happens somtimes. Wasnt sayng it was fact, just what I thought it was.

they finished it in Japan and austrialia. You should watch it somtime..they even have a new one called Genesis in Japan, tho its not that great (and completely unrelated) from what I've seen...

yea just one of the good shows Toonami used to have... i have the first two manga books some guy gave them to me for no reason i was like ok :confused:

Yeah well, the manga is VERY different from the Animes...seriously...few similairites. I'd say PART OF the first one is close to the same..the rest...VERY different...tho its still VERY cool...at least for Chaotic Century...New Century the manga is very similiair but really simplified, some slight alterations, and nowhere near as funny or action packed.
