What was your first anime and also, what was the anime that got you into anime in general?

I first saw Voltron..then Pokemon..but what got me into anime in general was zoids!

I never get hooked on anime, but the mangas get me addicted. My first manga was Naruto and first anime too since once i'd read all the available chapter i watch the anime on youtube

i dont know its just kinda happened, maybe a few at the same time pokemon of course :P bebop when that came out, but i did watch akira and street fighter 2 movies when i was really young. Everyone seems to have started and continues to just watch series

Oh I loved Coboy Bebop, that and Trigun plus Rurouni Kenshin I watched pretty close to the same time...ah found memories I have of those...street fighter? never watched the actual anime and Akira..I hear about that alot -shrugs- IDK what its about tho

EDIT: one piece lol, good anime, not one to take seriously much, especially when 4kids got it... but not somthin I like to think of as Anime..was the guy who made it techinque asain even? He looked African to me from what I saw in the US Shonen Jump...

it was good but it just doesn't match up to Gundam (1979) & Char's Counter Attack (1988)

Transformers (or the ones that you guys are reffering to) is not an anime, it's an american cartoon. The old school transformers and beast wars and later that peice of suck known as beast machines were all american made.... later the japanese anime transformers were made and they were all peices of shit (honestly try watching Transformers Armada... just try it, it's worse then watching paint dry)

I liked Armada plot wise..I just got tired of them talking each other to death more than fighting.

I think it was Tenchi Muyo or however you spell it, I forget what it was called, exactly. Armada more or less, and I loved how they did that, it was handled really well. That Series would be my favorite Transformers series out of them all if only they'd fight more..plot wise it was the best one, period.

My mother and I were browsing through channels and came across a Pokemon Episode, since then her and I record them and watch them later, but when they stopped airing Pokemon, we watched the old recorded Episodes of the Kanto, Orange and Johto sagas :laugh:

heh agreed. I mean, they didnt even LOOK like Dinosaurs cuz they had metal skin, whats the point in that? Beast Wars was AWESOME tho, and Beast Machines was ok. not as bad as people say it was, but not great either...yes I know those are american but still...XD they had Japanese influences HEAVILY...then again so does Avatar but thats technically Chinese animation that took ideas from anime and was funded by America's Nick..XD

you've never seen Akira??????? i dont think many on here have its basically the god of all anime every anime from 1990+ takes something from Akira. The storyline is a little complicated and most dont understand it but is still enjoyed by all.

Akira is excellent but Gundam rules over all :D
