Dear Sir,

It is generally not in your best interest to insult the person who controls your grade. Same goes for the police. Trust me on this one.

^This. You dont have to be a kiss-up or anything but arguing with a teacher on trivial matters could really take a bite out of your grade. Also not all the enforcers of law are polite, some of them are extremely strict. In fact one time me and some of my friends got called out by a policemen for just putting our foot on a bench in the subway.

This is what you do to a cop, They pull you over and say, "Have you been drinking?" you say "Yes I have" They say "I need to breathe test you" They do it, it comes up safe like you haven't been drinking, they say "why did you lie?" you say "I didn't I have been drinking coke."

I agree with IT. Unless the teacher has a great sense of humor, that was not a very smart thing to do. I doubt he hates you though, but just bitter that you had the gall to even make that observation a blatantly declare your horizontal superiority.
