you cant compare the two since they are in two different anime's and have completely different abilities in each anime.

LOL. Is that even a question? The Avatar in his Avatar state is powerful for what he is, but he can't match Goku after Dragon Ball and mostly anyone from the start of DBZ and on-ward. He might be able to go against some/most of the DB characters, but not King Piccolo while he's old or young, or even Piccolo and Goku at the end of Dragon Ball. Just my opinion.

Goku. Not to mention, nobody in Avatar can beat a character that can blow up the planet if/when he feels like it.

thats kind of a tough one because aang can just wear goku down or goku will just blow up aang so I'm going to say goku just because he doesn't give up even if it costs his life

Goku and Vegeta could. Napa destroyed a city with the swift of his hand, no one in Avatar can even destroy a city and that easy if they could.

Let's make this "type" of match up fair in a way. Aang in his Avatar state vs Naruto. Yeah, I went there, lul.

i have to agree goku would kill avatar it would not even matter goku has ultimate power that no one could achieve he could use the spiritbomb and destroy him and even if ang beats the shit out of goku he could get angry enough and turn supersaiyan remember thats mow he first turned supersaiyan go dragonballz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think it would be a tough battle, i mean at the end of the series when he went avatar state against the firelord, i believed he could have destroyed a city easily
